Su Huan looked at the dangerously grim second brother, sweat beading on his forehead. “Big brother, at this point, there’s no such thing as a government train. It’s just a gang of ruthless bandits. They’ve hijacked the train with sheer force, and if that weren’t bad enough, they force us ordinary passengers to go out every day and find food for them…”

“How many of you are there?” the second brother asked again.

“Over seven hundred.”

“How many of them?”

“Six or seven, I guess…”

The three men widened their eyes in disbelief. “Six or seven people scared off hundreds of you?”

Su Huan sighed helplessly. “Brothers, those are hardcore bandits. We’re just ordinary folks; we’ve never seen anything like this. You didn’t see it—one guy had his wife and daughter taken away, and just for cursing a little, he was beaten to death.”

“His daughter was a graduate student, very beautiful, with a slender waist, and his wife was gentle and kind…”

“Stop spouting nonsense, as if you’ve been with them,” the third brother scoffed, slightly eased by Su Huan’s vivid account.

The second brother cursed angrily, “These people are despicable!”

Su Huan readily joined in the condemnation, “They’re beasts. If we don’t bring back supplies, they beat us. They don’t feed us and still expect us to work for them for free!”

The three exchanged a glance. The second brother aimed his gun at Su Huan, while the other two turned their backs.

As they turned, the pistols at their waists became visible.

Su Huan narrowed his eyes.

[Enforcer S1 Tactical Pistol]

A semi-automatic pistol using 9mm rounds, with a 15-round capacity.

He might not recognize other guns, but he had the same model.

Only, he had thrown his away on the train because he had no bullets.

Looks like the guy from his past life wasn’t lying—the fire truck did have a stash of Enforcer gear, and quite a few.

The eldest brother whispered, “I think this kid’s telling the truth. Should we let him go?”

The third brother snapped irritably, “Nonsense. We caught him; there’s no way we let him go.”

The eldest brother asked in confusion, “Then what do you suggest?”

The third brother stroked his chin and said seriously, “If they can drive the train away, why can’t we? With so many people on board, they must have more supplies than us.”

“You know how to drive a train?”

“Don’t be ridiculous. The three of us grew up together—you don’t know if I can drive a train? But if they could drive it off, obviously there’s a driver on board.”

“I say we follow them back and take down that group. There are only six or seven of them, and the three of us have guns. If we succeed, we drive the train straight out of Mojang.”

The eldest brother hesitated. “What about the fire truck? We worked so hard for it.”

“Are you stupid? The fire truck doesn’t eat or drink, and there are so many cars on the road—whether we can get it out is another question!”

“Well, you’re the smartest among us three. We’ll follow your lead!” the eldest brother said, gritting his teeth.

Su Huan glanced out the window; a few scattered zombies were approaching. Growing impatient, he kindly reminded them, “Brothers, my car is still outside. It’s pretty good. Do you want me to bring it over?”

They looked at him. The third brother frowned. “Be honest. Don’t try any tricks. Tell me exactly what’s on the car. Big brothers, you go get his car; maybe we’ll need it.”

Soon, only the third brother remained in the carriage.

Su Huan breathed a sigh of relief; this meant he had gained some initial trust.

The third brother started asking for details, and Su Huan spun a tale seven parts truth and three parts fiction. No one knew the whole situation on the armed train better than him. Amid his recounting, he mixed in his fear of the apocalypse and bitterly cursed the train conductor’s exploitation.

Each story was a firsthand experience.

After cursing the conductor, he shared his feelings.

Though he wasn’t so panicked now, he had been in his past life.

Betrayed, separated from brothers, enduring all sorts of human misery, his words poured out.

Because he had seen it all with his own eyes, his lamentations were genuine.

By the end, the third brother even felt some pity.

Though he hadn’t suffered as much as Su Huan, having lived through the apocalypse themselves, they were kindred spirits and could empathize with Su Huan’s grim tales.

When the eldest and second brothers, sweating profusely, climbed up, they saw the third brother lighting a cigarette for Su Huan and patting his shoulder with a sigh, “Stop talking, brother, I get it. It’s just a woman. As long as there’s a meal for me, there’ll be one for you. The four of us brothers together will definitely survive in this messed-up world!”

Seeing the eldest and second brothers dumbfounded, the third brother snapped, “What’s wrong with you two? Call him Fourth Brother!”

The eldest and second brothers blinked, confused.

Su Huan wiped the tears from his face, stepped forward, and sincerely clasped their hands, “Little brother, second brother!”

Though puzzled, they had no time to correct him. They anxiously said, “Forget that for now. Zombies are coming!”

“Zombies are coming?”

The third brother was startled, wiped off a few drops of urine from his face, and hurriedly looked out the window. More and more zombies were encircling them.

Among them were several stage-one evolved zombies, especially a towering butcher over two meters tall, standing out distinctly!

Clearly, they had been drawn here by Su Huan’s reckless driving.

Because they were too slow, they had gathered into a massive horde behind.

Su Huan immediately jumped up. “Little brother, second brother, get into the other two cars quickly. I’ll lead the way. We have to break through!”

The third brother snapped to attention, tossed his gun to Su Huan, and shouted, “Right, go quickly! I’ll drive this vehicle. Fourth Brother, cover me! There’s a box of bullets in the back!”

They all moved in a flurry, following Su Huan’s lead.

Su Huan ran his hand along the metal body of the assault rifle, feeling thrilled.

Honestly, he was starting to like these three brothers.

He checked the magazine: forty 9mm rounds, but different from pistol rounds—the bullet heads were coated with a circle of greenish silver paint. He had no idea what it was for.

But that didn’t matter. Two shots would tell.

“Fourth Brother, stop examining! Where do we go?!” the third brother shouted.

Su Huan clicked the gun to chamber a round, excitement in his voice. “Just charge forward. I’ll tell you when to turn!”

The third brother gritted his teeth. “Nonsense. This might not even break through!”

“Don’t worry. Those small cars weigh just a few tons. The fire truck is at least ten tons, and the front is reinforced. We’ll just ram them!”

“Fine! Let’s ram the damn things!”

The fire truck roared to life and smashed directly into a small sedan ahead.

With its weight and powerful engine, it pushed the car aside effortlessly.

But the tremendous noise attracted the horde. Zombies swarmed from all directions.

Their savage howls shook everyone to the core.

“Howl—”

Several familiar mad dogs leapt from the roof.

Su Huan rolled down the window and pulled the charging handle on his gun.

A wild grin spread across his face. “Let’s see who’s the luckiest!”
