Chapter 53: A Chaotic Brawl

"What in the world are you people? How dare you block our path!?" Gozu shouted sternly.

"It's you guys who are getting in the way!" Musashi's voice rang out from inside the Meowth robot. "We're going after that brat right now, so if you know what's good for you, get out of here!"

Following her words, the upper half of the robot began to spin, and its two massive robotic cat paws whipped up a powerful hurricane like a pair of spinning blade fans!

Looking at this machine, Xia You couldn't help but inwardly give a thumbs-up. He really had no idea where they had managed to scrape together such equipment in just this short amount of time.

"Damn it!" The fierce wind pressure blew the caps right off the Matori Matrix members. Taking advantage of this delay, they watched helplessly as the cargo train sped away along the adjacent tracks. Gozu yelled, "You dare sabotage the operation? I will report this to the boss truthfully!"

"What kind of nonsense are you talking about?" Kojiro looked down at Gozu from on high through the glass canopy. "We're carrying out a mission here! When did we ever sabotage the operation?"

Things had reached this point, and no matter how angry Gozu was, it was useless. He had no choice but to settle for his next best option and make Xia You his primary target.

However, when he looked back at Xia You, he discovered that after the high-intensity battle, their Pokémon were in an unfavorable position!

"Squirtle, use Water Gun! Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!"

The ones who first broke through the deadlock were Squirtle and Ivysaur. This Water and Grass combination type matchup against the Ground and Rock-type Rhyperior dealt four times the damage with every single attack!

Although Rhyperior had already evolved to its final stage, its extreme clumsiness caused it to collapse to the ground out of stamina under the continuous attacks of the two Pokémon.

"Tch!" Seeing this, a Matori Matrix member had no choice but to recall it with a Poké Ball.

"Everyone, do not lower your guard! He's just one person! We absolutely cannot lose to him!" Gozu encouraged loudly. However, the moment his words fell, another Pokémon went down.

Toxicroak, possessing the Poison and Fighting types, only managed to hold out for a few turns before Kirla pinned it to the ground using psychic powers, completely overpowering it with zero room for counterattack!

Because of type disadvantages, these two Pokémon were defeated very quickly, but the other three Pokémon weren't going to be dealt with quite as easily.

First was Purugly. As a Normal-type Pokémon, its typing wasn't particularly distinctive in terms of strengths, but aside from Fighting-type moves, no other types could deal super-effective damage to it. Moreover, this rather chubby-looking big cat possessed an agility and speed completely contrary to its appearance. On the battlefield, only Jolteon could keep up with its pace.

The two Pokémon chased and tangled with each other, long since running off to God knows where!

Secondly was Skuntank. This Poison and Dark-type combination Pokémon likewise prevented any of Xia You's Pokémon from dealing extra damage to it. Coupled with its Stench Ability, every time it attacked, it carried a foul odor that made it impossible for other Pokémon to get close!

Finally, there was Gozu's Aggron.

This Pokémon was truly formidable. Even though it was at a type disadvantage against Gyarados, it had already gained the upper hand.

"Aggron, use Iron Tail!" At Gozu's command, Aggron, relying on its remaining sanity, swung its tail and struck Gyarados heavily on the head!

Gyarados let out a mournful cry, its massive body instantly collapsing to the ground.

Just as Gozu wanted to order Aggron to press the attack, the giant Meowth robot happened to walk right in front of it.

"Take this, Stomping Tantrum!" Meowth smiled craftily, controlling the robot's legs to lift repeatedly and slam down hard onto the ground, creating a series of continuous vibration attacks.

However, these shockwaves not only failed to finish off Gyarados, but instead dealt massive damage to the Steel and Rock-type Aggron, shaking it so hard it crashed to the ground!

"Idiot! What are you doing? Stop right now!" Gozu panicked, wanting to rush forward to stop them, but the impact shockwave knocked him head over heels as well.

"We're helping you, you know!" Musashi covered her mouth with a giggle. "Don't be ungrateful."

"A great opportunity!"

Seeing Aggron fall, Xia You's eyes lit up. While recalling Gyarados with a Poké Ball, he shouted to Ivysaur and Squirtle, who were rushing over to support: "Attack now!"

The next second, a blast of Water Gun and a continuous stream of Razor Leaf landed squarely on Aggron!

Having succeeded in her attack, Meowth controlled the giant Meowth robot, taking heavy strides as she continued walking toward Skuntank.

Most of Skuntank's moves were close-combat attacks. With Kirla's assistance, Charmander was barely managing to hold the line against the pressure.

"Skuntank, use Bite!"

Following the loud command of a Matori Matrix member, Skuntank suddenly accelerated, opened its maw wide, and lunged fiercely to bite Charmander.

Just at that moment, the Meowth robot suddenly stepped right between the two Pokémon, and Skuntank was unable to check its momentum in time, slamming its head hard against the robot's body.

Bang!!

That collision was by no means light. Not only was Skuntank dizzy and seeing stars, but its proud stench couldn't penetrate inside the Meowth robot at all!

"Hee hee hee hee..." The Team Rocket trio flashed triumphant smiles.

By this moment, everyone present finally figured out their true objective. Although Xia You was somewhat baffled and found it a bit strange, he didn't pay it too much mind.

After all, both factions were enemies to him, and whoever they were, they all had to be defeated!

Meanwhile, the members of the Matori Matrix also realized that Musashi and Kojiro were deliberately targeting them at every turn. Frowning, they instinctively drifted closer to Gozu.

"Captain, what should we do?"

"Let's retreat for now." Gozu stared at Xia You and said in a deep voice, "Compared to that International Police officer, this guy's strength is truly formidable. If we keep fighting, we stand no chance!"

"But..." A team member cast a disgusted glare at the giant Meowth robot and said with lingering resentment, "What about those two?"

"We absolutely cannot let them get away with what happened today!" Gozu said fiercely. "We're heading back right now to report this to Miss Matori, and we will make sure the boss severely punishes them!"

"Yes!"

Several members quickly recalled their Pokémon and, along with Gozu, flashed backward and vanished from sight.

"They really left?" Watching them retreat in disarray, Musashi's mood brightened considerably, though she hadn't forgotten her main objective and turned her gaze back to Xia You. "Now that's better, no annoying pests are bothering us anymore. Let's show you what we're really capable of!"

With that, the giant Meowth robot took long strides and charged straight at Xia You.
