Chapter 54: A Dog-Hole is a Shield-Dog's True Home, and Little Yishu Has Reached the Absolute Pinnacle of Cowardice

"Cat Qiao Xiaoqiao, I don't want to see this ID!" Wang Yuyao pouted from behind her screen.

Xiao Xiaoyan chimed in, "Little Yishu, you're doing this on purpose. That ID of yours is going to dredge up some bad memories for Sister Yuyao. Am I right, Commander?"

Heize said, "Little Yishu, why don't you switch to your main account?"

"Sure, no problem!" Li Yishu immediately exited the squad interface and switched to his main account.

He first changed his nickname to Sergeant Little Yishu, then applied to rejoin the team.

Li Yishu asked, "Sister, how do you feel now?"

"It's fine!" Wang Yuyao hesitated, looking like she wanted to say something.

Heize said, "It's alright, speak your mind. The Commander will back you up!"

"Well..." Wang Yuyao said, "I want to watch him play Shield Dog!"

Heize asked, "Little Yishu, can you deliver on that?"

"Yes, absolutely. Shield Dogs are my specialty. I'll definitely carry Sister to a chicken dinner!" Li Yishu directly switched to the operator Deep Blue, instantly selected the 75-durability iron helmet, bought a gold helmet repair kit, equipped a hip-fire MP5, and grabbed a golden chest rig and a giant red envelope backpack.

Heize remained on Wei Long, equipping the Liu Tao dual pistols.

Wang Yuyao selected the operator Bee Doctor, equipping a Tier 4 set along with an AUG.

Soon, the three of them entered Top-Secret Aerospace.

They spawned in the Launch Area without the Broken Bridge nearby, filling them with a sense of security.

Upon landing, Heize said, "Last game was Xiao Xiaoyan's call, this time we follow your lead, Little Yishu!"

"No problem, Commander!" Li Yishu said, "We'll go straight across the small bridge, then squat for a wave in the Dog Hole!"

"What's going on here?" Xiao Xiaoyan said, "The match just started, and you're already trying to take Sister Yuyao back to your place?"

"What do you mean?" Heize was baffled.

Xiao Xiaoyan explained, "Commander, Dog Hole, Shield Dog—isn't that his home?"

"Pfft!" Wang Yuyao burst out laughing.

"Makes sense!" Heize remarked.

In the live stream chat:

*Deep in the Heart:* "Shield Dog, Dog Hole—you gotta admit, that really is Little Yishu's home!"

*An Lan:* "Xiao Xiaoyan, you certainly have a way with words!"

*South of the City Without Fighting You:* "Sister Yuyao, don't trust Little Yishu."

*No More Lust (Day 13):* "You've barely known each other for two days, and he's already taking you home? There's definitely something fishy going on!"

*Love Me and You'll Green Her:* "Don't believe him! My cat can do a backflip, come to my place instead!"

The trio left the Launch Area, making their way from the small bridge down underneath it.

Wang Yuyao entered the Dog Hole first. After Heize crawled in, he immediately did a little stutter-step crouch out of the window, lying prone in the grass to keep an eye on the East District Suspension Bridge.

Li Yishu, bringing up the rear, lay prone on the ground to loot a manhole cover before entering the Dog Hole.

Heize reported, "The East District Suspension Bridge is open!"

Li Yishu ran up to Wang Yuyao and dropped a High-Speed Disk Array directly onto the ground.

"Sister, look at what this is."

Wang Yuyao looked down, then said, "A High-Speed Disk Array? Where'd you get this?"

Li Yishu replied, "Looted it out of a manhole cover right outside my front door!"

Wang Yuyao gasped, "Ah? This really *is* your house?!"

"Quick, pick it up!" Li Yishu urged.

Wang Yuyao said, "There are twelve slots, and my backpack already has a Red item in it, so I can't fit anything else!"

"Look at this," Li Yishu said, turning around and dropping the giant red envelope backpack and the golden chest rig on the ground.

"Huh?" Wang Yuyao was stunned. "You're being this thoughtful?"

"Thoughtful?" Xiao Xiaoyan interjected. "Sister, is he as thoughtful as me? Did you forget who carried you with the Liu Tao and a fully modified M14 in the last game?"

Wang Yuyao: "Uh..."

Xiao Xiaoyan continued, "Little Yishu is a bad guy, you can't accept his stuff! Sister, you have to wait for me, wait for me to come back!"

Li Yishu retorted, "Don't listen to him. Xiao Xiaoyan will only ever lead you to dive off a cliff for extraction!"

"What?!" Xiao Xiaoyan choked.

In the livestream chat:

*Lies:* "I'm dying of laughter. Little Yishu doesn't speak often, but every time he opens his mouth, he pierces straight through Xiao Xiaoyan's lungs!"

*Tangtang OvO:* "Xiao Xiaoyan tried every trick in the book, and one sentence about 'diving off a cliff to extract' from Little Yishu completely silenced him!"

*Drinking While Doing a Handstand:* "What kind of bullshit drop rate is this? You can even pull a Red item out of a manhole cover?!"

*My Name is Wang Safety:* "I'm green with envy. The best I've ever looted from a manhole cover was a Heart of Africa!"

*Luo Luo's Mom's Lover:* "The guy above is just pure flexing, drag him outside and pop some popcorn with him!"

At this moment, Heize, who was lying prone in the flowerbed grass, spoke up again: "The suspension bridge is open, Lao San's squad is coming over!"

Li Yishu tossed a bottle of mineral water onto the ground. "Sister, you must be tired, have a sip of water!"

"There's even mineral water?" Wang Yuyao giggled.

Heize: "Hang on, are either of you listening to me?"

Xiao Xiaoyan: "Commander, look at Little Yishu. The moment he sees a pretty girl, he forgets how to walk and forgets his roots! Only I am still staying by your side!"

In the livestream chat:

*Wang Chengjun:* "I'm dead. The Commander is lying prone in the grass holding an angle, and Little Yishu is already feeding Sister Yuyao at home!"

*Pig in Reverse Direction:* "Xiao Xiaoyan is crying with envy. How can anyone pull a Red item out of a manhole cover?!"

*Brother Wei:* "Not gonna lie, why does this scene feel so familiar?"

*Pissing Three Feet Against the Wind:* "Is the guy above talking about the episode where the Warden played doorman?"

*Wind by the Books:* "This is going too far! The Commander is out front fighting, and you two are back home getting up to no good!"

Only then did Li Yishu say, "Don't panic, Commander. My ultimate is almost ready!"

***

"And then?" Heize asked.

"You go inside the house first, let's hide for a bit!" Li Yishu said.

Heize replied, "Seriously, brother, are we playing it this ratty?"

Xiao Xiaoyan chimed in, "He's playing a Shield Dog, of course he's a rat!"

"Fine, fair enough!" Heize hurriedly crawled back from the grass to the small window, then scuttled into the Dog Hole with quick little steps.

Li Yishu activated his ultimate ability, then said, "Commander, I'm going to step outside the Dog Hole to keep watch, you just lie prone right behind me!"

"Huh? Will that even work?" Heize was surprised.

When Xiao Xiaoyan carried girls, he was fiercely aggressive and got picked off right at the start.

When Little Yishu carried girls, he played the rat to the extreme.

Now even he was going to get dragged down into this mess.

"Too cowardly! Can you even get a chicken dinner playing like this?" Xiao Xiaoyan said.

By this time, Li Yishu had already run to the entrance of the Dog Hole facing the Black Room and injected himself with a pink stimulant.

He watched as a Wei Long and a Red Wolf walked from the riverside rat trail into the Black Room.

Shortly after, the sound of a zipline echoed, and Luna came sprinting up.

Li Yishu immediately rushed out of the rat tunnel, sprinted forward, and threw out a grapple hook.

"Hooked!"

The next second, Luna was yanked right in front of Li Yishu and immediately took a shield bash.

"Commander, don't shoot, don't expose yourself!" Li Yishu ordered.

Heize said, "Huh? Not even a little?"

Li Yishu followed up by deploying a barbed wire trap, then delivered another shield bash.

Just as Luna got back to her feet, Li Yishu hit her with yet another shield bash, chaining into another barbed wire trap.

Luna, down to critical health, roared in voice chat, "There's a Shield Dog in the Dog Hole, he's chewing me up, come back and help me, it's just one Shield Dog!"

Wei Long reported, "There's someone in the connector too!"

"I'll help you!" Red Wolf hurriedly rushed out of the Black Room.

By this time, however, Li Yishu had already beaten Luna into a loot box.

Li Yishu immediately retreated, ducked behind cover, and injected himself with a combat stimulant to rapidly recover stamina.

Reaching behind him, Li Yishu threw another grapple hook, dragging Luna's corpse right into the Dog Hole.

Li Yishu called out, "Sister, get behind me, carry the corpse inside and loot it. Commander, lie prone right against my backside, and whatever you do, don't expose yourself!"

Xiao Xiaoyan screamed at the top of his lungs, "Little Yishu, what the hell are you doing?! Are you trying to fart and blow up the Commander?!"
