Chapter 174: Then Shall I Leave?
The night was already deep. Lin Sangqian was lightly sleeping in a small tent beside Gu Zhinan’s tent. However, since they were in a bandit den, her sleep was uneasy, and she woke up at dawn.
She never expected that after telling Zhang Qianqian they could leave the mountain, Zhang Qianqian would actually refuse.
“You just arrived and already want to kick me out?” Zhang Qianqian looked at her with hostile eyes. “I’m not leaving. If you want to have Big Brother Gu all to yourself, forget it! Lin Shopkeeper, I really didn’t expect you to be this kind of person!”
Lin Sangqian was puzzled. She suspected Zhang Qianqian had lost her mind.
“If you don’t want to leave, fine, but don’t wrong me,” Lin Sangqian said coldly. “I don’t want to stay on this mountain, nor am I interested in your Big Brother Gu.”
“Then why don’t you leave?” Zhang Qianqian asked righteously.
Lin Sangqian was too lazy to say another word.
Was it that she didn’t want to leave? Without curing Gu Zhinan’s poisoning, would he let her go?
Anyway, she had already given Zhang Qianqian a chance to go down the mountain, so she felt she had returned a favor to Zhang.
Since Zhang Qianqian herself was unwilling to leave, it was no longer her concern.
Whether Zhang Qianqian lived or died from now on would have nothing to do with her.
Lin Sangqian turned to find Gu Zhinan to perform acupuncture. The sooner she cleared his poison, the sooner she could free herself.
Zhang Qianqian kept following her, wanting to accompany her to find Gu Zhinan, but someone called her back: “Little Zhang, what are you doing? Hurry up and make breakfast!”
Zhang Qianqian was dissatisfied but had no choice. She replied, “Got it,” and reluctantly went to cook.
Lin Sangqian entered Gu Zhinan’s tent. He was still asleep, snoring like a pig.
She went to his bedside and pushed him, “Wake up.”
Gu Zhinan scratched his face and continued sleeping.
“The sun is already shining on your forehead. Get up!”
Gu Zhinan rolled over and kept sleeping.
Lin Sangqian laughed in exasperation.
Then she raised her hand and pinched Gu Zhinan’s nose.
He switched to breathing through his mouth.
She then used her other hand to pinch his mouth shut.
After a while, Gu Zhinan was forced awake by the suffocation.
Lin Sangqian quickly released him and stepped back.
“Who, who tried to murder me!” Gu Zhinan raised his hand to strike but only hit empty air.
When he opened his eyes, he saw Lin Sangqian standing there innocently.
“Were you trying to kill me just now?” Gu Zhinan asked fiercely.
Even with a fierce expression, he still looked handsome.
“I wasn’t,” Lin Sangqian said calmly. “I just told you to get up and pushed you twice, and you woke up.”
“Really?” Gu Zhinan looked suspicious. “Then why did I just feel like I couldn’t breathe?”
“That’s a normal reaction when waking up in the morning. Many people feel that way. Haven’t you experienced it before?” Lin Sangqian lied seriously.
Gu Zhinan: “...No.”
He suspected Lin Sangqian was fooling him, but he had no proof.
“Enough of that. I’m going to do acupuncture now.”
“But I’m still sleepy…” Gu Zhinan muttered.
“Not curing the poison? Then I’m leaving.”
“Ugh! Come on!”
Lin Sangqian took out the needles. “Take off your shirt.”
Gu Zhinan took off his clothes while saying, “You carry this with you?”
“Yeah,” Lin Sangqian replied casually.
In truth, she had taken them out earlier from the system space, but she certainly wouldn’t tell Gu Zhinan.
After Gu Zhinan removed his shirt, Lin Sangqian asked him to sit facing away from her.
“If I’m facing away, what if you attack me from behind?” Gu Zhinan eyed her suspiciously.
Lin Sangqian chuckled, “Then no treatment for you. You can just wait to die.”
“Don’t! Come back! I’ll cooperate!”
In the end, Gu Zhinan obediently sat facing away from Qiao Xihe.
Qiao Xihe held the needle and, after locating a certain acupoint on his back, was about to prick when she suddenly remembered to warn, “It might hurt a bit. Bear with it.”
“Got it,” Gu Zhinan said indifferently.
What was pain to him...
Suddenly a sharp pain shot through his body, and his vision darkened.
Damn Lin Sangqian! Is this what you call a little pain?
If not for his strong endurance, he would have been crying out loud by now.
Before he could recover, Lin Sangqian inserted another needle.
Gu Zhinan was about to cry.
It hurt like hell!
After a while, the pain finally subsided somewhat.
Just as Gu Zhinan was about to complain again, he noticed black blood oozing from under his nails.
“What’s this?” he exclaimed in shock.
“The toxins in your body are being expelled. Don’t be afraid,” Lin Sangqian said. “Just wipe it off.”
Gu Zhinan hurriedly grabbed a cloth and wiped it; the black blood didn’t flow much and stopped soon afterward.
Lin Sangqian then removed all the needles from his back.
“You need acupuncture once every other day, seven times in total, to completely purge the toxins from your body,” Lin Sangqian explained. “And during this time, you must also take medicine; acupuncture alone won’t work.”
“What medicine? I’ll have my brothers go get it,” Gu Zhinan said weakly.
Just thinking about enduring this pain seven more times made him miserable.
But it was better than dying in a few months.
“No need. I have it here,” Lin Sangqian said. “You better not send your brothers to town. I’m scared.”
“Look at what you’re saying, I…”
At that moment, Zhang Qianqian walked in carrying breakfast, smiling brightly.
“Big Brother Gu, I…”
She froze when she saw the scene inside the tent.
Why was Lin Sangqian here? And why wasn’t Gu Zhinan wearing his shirt?
What were they doing?
Zhang Qianqian’s eyes instantly reddened. Her hands trembled, almost knocking over the breakfast tray.
Fortunately, Lin Sangqian was quick and grabbed the tray.
There was porridge and flatbread—no way she would let it go to waste.
“Big Brother Gu, how could you…” Zhang Qianqian looked at him with sorrow.
She had stayed in this bandit den all for him.
When she was first taken up the mountain, she was terrified, but seeing him made her fearless.
She was even willing to stay by his side.
But he had never looked at her properly.
Now, with Lin Sangqian here, he even took off his clothes!
“What’s wrong? What can I do?” Gu Zhinan was a little confused. He put on his shirt and prepared to eat.
He was starving.
Then he turned and saw Lin Sangqian almost finishing the porridge.
“Lin Sangqian! You!”
“I’m hungry,” Lin Sangqian said.
“That’s my breakfast!”
“But I’m hungry…”
“You damn…”
“I’m really hungry.”
Zhang Qianqian couldn’t take it anymore and ran out crying.
Gu Zhinan remained puzzled: “What’s wrong with her?”
