Virtual Headquarters Realm.

This was a vast mountain peak suspended amid swirling clouds, so enormous that it was even larger than an ordinary planet in the real world. On one of the bluestone roads winding across the mountain, two figures suddenly appeared: Luo Yuan and Luo Feng.

“Hmm?” Luo Yuan glanced around.

Far along the street, numerous people could be seen, along with rows of buildings. In the distance to the left stood a series of beautiful villas.

“Your Highnesses.” A figure came running from farther down the street. It was Sha Wu.

“Mr. Sha Wu.” Luo Yuan greeted him with a smile.

“Your Highnesses.” The lean old man smiled. “This entire realm is the Virtual Headquarters of Virtual Universe Company. In fact, compared with the headquarters in the real world, the virtual headquarters is much livelier. Many great figures cannot possibly remain at the physical headquarters all the time.”

“Come.”

The lean old man led the two of them onward. “This mountain peak floating amid the clouds is called Rain Phase Mountain. It has a diameter of approximately eighty-nine thousand kilometers.”

“That big?” The two were astonished.

Earth’s diameter was only a little over ten thousand kilometers. This single mountain was nearly seven times wider than Earth.

“It has to be large, otherwise there wouldn’t be enough room for all the cultivation grounds,” the lean old man said with a smile. “Rain Phase Mountain is divided into five districts: the Primordial District, the Absolute Beginning District, the Heaven and Earth District, the Apocalypse District, and the Public District. All five districts are roughly equal in area.”

“The Primordial District has no more than one hundred and twenty residents.”

“The Absolute Beginning District has around a thousand.”

“The Heaven and Earth District has more than ten thousand.”

“As for the Apocalypse District, it has tens of millions.” The lean old man continued, “The Public District contains commerce, entertainment, and other facilities. Members of all four districts may enter it. However, Your Highnesses, members of the Primordial, Absolute Beginning, Heaven and Earth, and Apocalypse Districts are not permitted to enter one another’s districts.”

“That is the difference in status.”

The lean old man sighed. “When the headquarters selects elites for its core layer, they are all assigned to the Apocalypse District. Even outstanding World Lords recruited from outside are assigned there. Most of the participants in the successive Genius Battles and Strongest Battles are also in the Apocalypse District. That is why it has the largest population. Housing there consists of high-rise buildings, with each person receiving an apartment.”

“In the Heaven and Earth District, everyone has a villa.”

“In the Absolute Beginning District, members have their own exclusive cultivation grounds and study facilities. It is already an extremely extravagant arrangement.”

“As for the Primordial District, with no more than one hundred and twenty residents in total, an enormous luxurious estate has been built there, with a diameter of more than a thousand kilometers. The estate contains all kinds of cultivation facilities. Immortal teachers even reside there permanently, along with countless servants. Residents can also summon large numbers of sparring partners at any time.” The lean old man’s eyes were filled with envy.

Luo Yuan raised his brows. The treatment received by members of the Primordial District was truly extraordinary.

The benefits of the four districts differed far too greatly. Members of the Apocalypse District lived in apartment blocks; those in the Heaven and Earth District had villas; the Absolute Beginning District was practically a manor. As for the Primordial District…

Good heavens! They had built a manor with a diameter of more than a thousand kilometers for a handful of people. Could that still be called a manor? It was larger than an entire province on Earth before the Great Nirvana Period. It was practically a kingdom! And Immortal beings were even stationed there permanently?

“There are no more than one hundred and twenty members in the Primordial District, and fewer than one hundred World Lords. Any one of those World Lords would be considered truly invincible among World Lords throughout the universe,” the lean old man said with a smile. “Every one of them is a genuine elite of our company. It is only natural that they receive such treatment.”

Under Sha Wu’s guidance, the two gained a general understanding of Rain Phase Mountain. This was where the core members of Virtual Universe Company below the Immortal level gathered.

Standing atop a steep crag, the lean old man pointed toward an enormous island looming through the distant clouds. Lightning coiled around it like countless electric serpents.

“Look. That is Thunder Island, also known as Immortal Island. It is a hundred or even a thousand times larger than Rain Phase Mountain. The Immortals of Virtual Universe Company generally reside there. If Rain Phase Mountain is the gathering place and training ground for the company’s core members below the Immortal level, then Thunder Island is the true gathering place of the strong—the gathering place of the Immortals.”

“Mm.”

Luo Yuan gazed at Thunder Island in the clouds and nodded slightly.

That place could be regarded as one of the sacred grounds of the entire human race of the universe.

“Your Highness Luo Yuan, please go to the Public District first. A peak World Lord there will escort you to the Primordial District. I will take Your Highness Luo Feng to the Absolute Beginning District. We must part ways here,” Sha Wu said respectfully.

In truth, he would have preferred to take Luo Yuan to see the Primordial District, but he did not have the authority to do so.

“Go ahead,” Luo Yuan said with a smile. “Luo Feng, have a good time in the Absolute Beginning District. We’ll talk after we log off.”

“All right, Third Brother. Off to the Absolute Beginning District!” Luo Feng replied, full of anticipation, before leaving with Sha Wu.

As Luo Yuan walked through the Public District, he could see hundreds of World Lords at a glance wherever he looked. Ninety-nine percent of them had received the recognition of the Origin Laws, and various Origin Law imprints adorned their brows.

“World Lords recognized by the Origin Laws would already be the equivalent of army commanders of superpowers in the Black Dragon Mountain Starfield,” Luo Yuan thought with a sigh. “Yet within a giant organization like Virtual Universe Company, they have merely managed to obtain the qualifications to enter the Apocalypse Secret Territory. There are probably more than a hundred million World Lords who cannot even enter the core layer!”

“Greetings, Your Highness Luo Yuan!”

A clear and melodious voice suddenly interrupted Luo Yuan’s thoughts. He looked up and saw a graceful young woman wearing a tight-fitting pale-green dress. Her appearance was much like that of a human from Earth, except that the tips of her ears were slightly pointed. A Wood Origin Law imprint appeared between her brows.

Of course, although she looked like a young girl, no one knew her true age.

The “girl” blinked her large eyes as she examined Luo Yuan, her gaze brimming with brilliance.

“Hello. You’re the World Lord who has come to escort me to the Primordial District, aren’t you?” Luo Yuan asked with a smile.

“Indeed. Your Highness is very clever. My name is Green Bamboo. Please follow me!”

Green Bamboo walked ahead while Luo Yuan followed behind. Her curvaceous figure swayed before him. As a seasoned womanizer, Luo Yuan watched with considerable interest. Perhaps sensing his heated gaze, Green Bamboo gradually restrained the sway of her steps.

After a short while, they reached a broad and secluded bluestone road. Beside it lay flowerbeds, where various blossoms and plants had been arranged to form characters in the universal language of the universe: “Primordial District.”

Beep!

A faint halo flashed across Green Bamboo’s body, and she could go no farther. She quickly called out, “Your Highness, I can’t proceed any farther. Follow this road. The area ahead is the Primordial District. Once you enter, the administrators will take care of you.”

“Thank you.” Luo Yuan smiled and nodded.

He continued along the beautiful, tranquil bluestone road, breathing in the fragrance of grass and flowers drifting from either side. His pace gradually quickened. Half a minute later, he had traveled more than ten kilometers and arrived at the entrance to the vast and luxurious Primordial District.

Quite a few servants stood at the entrance. When they saw Luo Yuan approach, one of their leaders immediately came forward to greet him.
