“Beep. Cadet Luo Yuan, your C-level trial has been completed. Time: 9 minutes and 24 seconds. All 200 wild bulls have been slain. Trial passed!” The electronic voice, as if spoken by a deity, echoed across the vast grasslands.

“That’s it? I wasn’t even finished having fun!” Luo Yuan’s consciousness returned to reality, and he took off his helmet with some disappointment.

“Luo Yuan, you finished so quickly? That was less than ten minutes. By the way, which level did you choose for your trial?” Yang Hui, standing nearby, asked in surprise.

“It was alright, just the first layer of the C-level trial. The main thing is, this virtual space is really intriguing. The immersive experience is intense, and there’s no danger at all. It suits me perfectly,” Luo Yuan replied with a smile.

“What? A C-level trial?!” Yang Hui and Luo Feng were both shocked, their gazes filled with disbelief as they looked at Luo Yuan.

Luo Yuan offered no further explanation.

Under Yang Hui’s guidance, the three of them walked out of the Ninefold Tower together.

“Have you decided on your training codes?” Yang Hui asked. “Today is March 29th, so you’ll officially join the training camp on April 1st, 2057… That means the first four digits of your code must be ‘5704.’ As for the last two digits, since only the two of you are joining in April, you can pick any numbers you like.”

“Hmm… I’ll go with 03,” Luo Feng answered.

“03?” Yang Hui nodded. “Luo Feng’s cadet code will be 570403. The rest of the paperwork can be sorted out right away.”

“And yours, Luo Yuan?” Yang Hui turned to him.

“01, I suppose,” Luo Yuan replied casually.

...

On the Black Dragon Carving Leaderboard of the world’s top training camp, two new names appeared that very day—No. 183 Luo Yuan (570401), and No. 184 Luo Feng (570403).

This news spread almost instantly to the five major powers around the globe and their respective base cities. Certain government military special departments, the core families of the HR Alliance, and dozens of other important families received word swiftly. On that very day, each of these organizations obtained a detailed dossier on Luo Yuan and Luo Feng.

From the day of their births onward...

...

Governments, military forces, special organizations, and wealthy families all devised various plans in response to Luo Yuan and Luo Feng’s entry into the Elite Training Camp. Likewise, as the Executive President of the HR Alliance’s Huaxia District, Viena Polenas received the dossier almost immediately.

Jiangnan Mountainside Community, atop Huayao Peak, at the hilltop villa.

“Viena, aren’t Luo Yuan and Luo Feng among our primary suspects?” As soon as he glanced at the first page, Vulture Li Yao immediately recalled these two inconspicuous names from the list of suspects.

“Especially Luo Yuan. He keeps a low profile, but his strength has advanced at a startling rate. In less than a year, he’s gone from an ordinary person to a high-level War General. Back when Wei died, Luo Yuan was nearby. We must pay close attention to him!” Viena said through clenched teeth.

“How did he get into the Elite Training Camp? Was it because he’s a spiritual force user?” Li Yao’s eyes flashed coldly.

“I’m not sure. It seems he was directly admitted early by the upper echelons of the Extreme Martial Hall,” Viena replied.

“Interesting. We should test him when we get the chance. Luo Feng is also suspicious and must not be overlooked,” Li Yao said coldly.

...

Luo Yuan and Luo Feng followed Yang Hui across a wooden arched bridge, arriving before a cluster of buildings. Yang Hui pointed ahead. “Over there is the Jiangnan Pavilion. There are already two cadets living there. You two will be the third and fourth.”

“Jiangnan Pavilion—what a lovely, classical name!” Luo Yuan exclaimed in admiration.

“Haha, it’s just named after the base city. The two already residing there are from Jiangnan Base City as well, though they arrived before you,” Yang Hui said with a mysterious look. He suddenly lowered his voice. “Let me warn you, one of the current residents is called Shi Jiang. He’s formidable—I’m not even sure I could beat him. If you get along with him, it’ll be to your advantage.”

“Sir, you’re a mid-level War God. Does that mean Shi Jiang is a high-level War God?” Luo Feng was astonished; even Luo Yuan raised an eyebrow.

Yang Hui nodded. “Shi Jiang is ranked among the top five in the entire training camp. Many here already possess ‘War God’ strength, but they avoid claiming the title so they can remain at the camp. In fact, almost all of the top thirty cadets in the camp possess War God-level strength.

There are many prodigies here. When it comes to spiritual force users, there are dozens in the Elite Training Camp. As for physical strength, plenty have achieved fourfold force. In terms of movement techniques, blade skills, and swordsmanship, there are several who have reached the level of ‘Intent.’”

“My goodness!” Luo Feng cried out, while Luo Yuan’s expression brightened with excitement. Clearly, this was the right place for them.

“Are there many who’ve mastered the ‘Ninefold Thunder Blade’ to the advanced level?” Luo Yuan asked with interest.

“There are many who practice the Ninefold Thunder Blade, but not many have reached the fifth level or higher,” Yang Hui explained.

“So many geniuses! I love being among geniuses,” Luo Yuan said with a grin. He realized this Elite Training Camp was the perfect place to accumulate experience and attributes, and the ideal ground to break through to the planetary level.

The three of them arrived at Jiangnan Pavilion.

The courtyard spanned several dozen meters, with whitewashed walls and black-tiled roofs, even featuring dragon carvings along the top.

They pushed open the gate.

Within Jiangnan Pavilion stood three towers. As they entered the courtyard, all was quiet inside. Yang Hui called out, “Shi Jiang, Zhao Ruo!” Immediately, a short-haired girl in a loose robe appeared on the second-floor balcony of the left tower, while a figure leaped down from the central tower— a young man in black training attire.

The young man stood just over 1.7 meters tall. Though slender, he radiated a sense of solid strength, as if his body had been forged from steel. His gaze was deep and reserved, but an occasional glint hinted at something dangerous within.

Luo Yuan swept his spiritual sense over Shi Jiang, assessing him from head to toe. His physical prowess was impressive, yet still fell short of Luo Yuan’s own.

“New cadets?” A lively voice called down as Zhao Ruo, holding an umbrella, jumped down excitedly to greet Luo Yuan and Luo Feng.

This senior sister, Zhao Ruo, wore her hair short and had a petite figure. Her only flaws were her darker skin and small eyes, so she wasn’t exactly a beauty. Nonetheless, her youthful energy made her easy to like.

“This is Luo Yuan, and this is Luo Feng. From today forward, they’ll be living here at Jiangnan Pavilion with you,” Yang Hui announced with a smile. “Shi Jiang, Zhao Ruo, you’re their seniors. Please look after them.”

“Don’t worry, leave it to me!” Zhao Ruo said, patting her chest. “With me around, they won’t be mistreated.”

“Alright, I’ll leave you to it.”

Yang Hui smiled, nodded to Luo Yuan and Luo Feng, and then took his leave.
