“Do you have Bluewave Essence here?” Luo Yuan asked. He couldn’t be bothered to look at other treasures; he had already done all the calculations before coming.

“Yes, we do.”

The elderly man, a sixth-level Stellar being, personally served Luo Yuan, smiling as he led him to a section of the Treasure Emporium. There, a virtual projection floated—an image of the Bluewave Essence. Bluewave Essence was a peculiar green liquid, shimmering with tiny, strange lights, resembling mercury. A price was displayed beside it.

“Nine thousand Black Dragon coins per gram?” Luo Yuan nodded slightly. “I need thirty kilograms.”

“Thirty kilograms?” The old man nodded with a smile.

Some of the customers browsing in the emporium couldn’t help but glance at Luo Yuan.

Such an expensive item as Bluewave Essence?

And he wanted thirty kilograms at once?

“With the discount, that comes to two hundred sixty-four million six hundred thousand Black Dragon coins,” the old man said with a smile. “Is there anything else you’d like, Mr. Luo Yuan?”

“That will be all for now.” Luo Yuan didn’t spare a glance for any other treasures.

The old man was a little disappointed, but he quickly processed the transaction, retrieving thirty kilograms of Bluewave Essence from the secret storeroom in the back. Only on Qiu Long Star—an interstellar hub with hundreds of star systems—could a shop take out such a large stock at once. On lesser planets, they simply wouldn’t have it.

“Here is your Bluewave Essence, sir. Please keep it safe.” The old man handed over a beautiful, half-transparent glass jar, inside which swirled a green, mercury-like liquid dappled with strange lights.

Just this one jar of liquid—

Countless lives had probably been lost in its collection! If converted into the price of “advanced War God warriors,” it could buy over ten million of them!

“Mm.” Luo Yuan took the transparent jar. With a flick of his wrist, it vanished into thin air.

The other customers who had been watching the transaction were now even more astounded, whispering among themselves.

Evidently—

This young man possessed a spatial ring!

“Safe travels, sir. We look forward to your next visit.” The old man smiled, watching Luo Yuan and his companion depart.

“These thirty kilograms of Bluewave Essence are for you,” Luo Yuan said, handing the newly purchased essence to Luo Feng.

“This… Luo Yuan, don’t you need this too?” Luo Feng was deeply grateful but still asked in some confusion.

“I don’t need it. Next, we’re heading to the slave market.” Luo Yuan smiled.

Their conversation brought them swiftly to the slave market, not far from the Treasure Emporium.

The slave market was as crowded as ever!

Stunning slave girls, beautiful enough to bring down kingdoms, were priced at only a few thousand Black Dragon coins. Apprentice ninth-level warriors (advanced War Gods) cost just a dozen or so coins! Tourists could be seen everywhere, casually buying several slaves as souvenirs.

Soon, Luo Yuan and Luo Feng arrived at one of the more powerful slave merchant malls.

Inside the mall—

“Honored sirs, what kind of slaves are you looking for? Whether it’s beauty, strength, or any other trait, we have everything you could desire,” greeted the manager, a thin, monkey-like, dark-skinned man with a sharp, prominent nose. At a glance, he recognized Luo Yuan as a serious buyer.

“I need Stellar-class slaves,” Luo Yuan said.

“Ah!”

The manager was overjoyed, laughing as he said, “Please, right this way! We have a vast selection of virtual projections of slaves—you may choose anyone you like! Our prices are absolutely fair, and the more you buy, the bigger your discount!” The price of Stellar-class slaves was very high, so the manager was naturally delighted.

In the spacious reception room, a virtual projection appeared before Luo Yuan, displaying the appearances, heights, detailed information on strengths, races, and prices of a great number of slaves.

“Eighty million for a fifth-level Stellar warrior, five hundred million for a seventh-level, two billion for an eighth-level, and five billion for a ninth-level. Spiritual Masters cost triple that of warriors at the same level!” Luo Yuan noted the prices. They were all within the normal range—unless a slave was particularly special, the prices fluctuated only slightly.

Luo Yuan pointed at the projection. “I’ll take these from the Black Mong race.”

“Certainly!” The manager eagerly recorded the selection.

This was a big deal!

He had been right—this young man was indeed a major customer!

“Three each of seventh-level Stellar Spiritual Masters and seventh-level Stellar warriors, all from the Black Mong race,” Luo Yuan directed.

The Black Mong race had little physical difference from humans, but their bodies were resilient, and they often produced Spiritual Masters.

According to Babata, the Black Mong race made for high-quality slaves.

“Three each of seventh-level Spiritual Masters and warriors?” The manager was taken aback and looked at Luo Yuan. “Three of each?”

Each seventh-level Stellar Spiritual Master cost one and a half billion Black Dragon coins—three would be four and a half billion! Each seventh-level Stellar warrior cost five hundred million—three would be one and a half billion! That was a total of six billion Black Dragon coins!

Even on Qiu Long Star, only important figures from the great clans could so casually take out such an immense sum. Few clan juniors had so much cash at hand.

“Did you note it down?” Luo Yuan glanced over.

“Yes, yes!” The manager was nearly trembling with excitement. If this deal went through, his commission would be substantial.

“Good.” Luo Yuan nodded. “How big a discount can you offer me?”

“Ninety-five percent of the total—absolutely the biggest discount,” the manager replied, his sharp nose gleaming.

“Very well. Also, I want you to throw in one hundred third-level Stellar slaves—fifty warriors and fifty Spiritual Masters. And two thousand ninth-level Planetary Spiritual Masters and two thousand ninth-level Planetary Genetic Warriors,” Luo Yuan added.

“Sir!” The manager looked as though he had just lost his parents, his eyes wide in distress. “I can’t possibly include so many! You’re killing me!”

“One price,” Luo Yuan replied, fixing his gaze on the manager. “Seventy billion Black Dragon coins, including all the extras I mentioned.”

Sweat beaded on the manager’s brow, dripping from his prominent nose as his mind whirred, calculating like a computer.

“Deal!” he finally gritted out.

Even with all the extras, the manager stood to make a significant sum. The bulk, of course, would go to the higher-ups.

“Very well,” Luo Yuan said with a nod. “The Stellar-level Spiritual Masters and warriors are to be from the Black Mong race. For the Planetary-level ones, select them at random from the thirteen human races I specify.”

“No problem at all,” the manager replied enthusiastically.

“I’ll pay one billion Black Dragon coins as a deposit. You’ll deliver the slaves to the planetary docking port, where we’ll complete the transaction,” Luo Yuan instructed.

“Of course,” the manager beamed. For a deal involving thousands of slaves, delivery at the planetary port was standard.

Luo Yuan nodded slightly…

Altogether, there were just over four thousand slaves—about as many as the crew of an aircraft carrier on Earth. The Black Dragon spaceship, with its upper, middle, and lower decks and a diameter of one hundred meters, could easily hold over a thousand people per deck if packed tightly.

Luo Yuan suddenly pictured the spectacle of these new forces returning to Earth and couldn’t help but smile in amusement. He was buying these slaves to consolidate Earth’s various factions, especially to deal with the monsters above, and to strengthen Earth’s power as a matter of course.
