Chapter 137: Entering the Sea Realm
The three soared across the continent, and as they neared the Pacific Ocean’s airspace, Mu quickly descended, coming to rest on the western shore of the Pacific.
Yin Seventeen followed shortly after, slightly slower but close behind.
“Mr. Mu, how exactly do we enter the Sea Realm?” Shun asked, pointing toward the vast, endless ocean.
“Simply dive straight down and enter the deep seabed,” Mu replied expressionlessly.
“Is it really that simple?” Shun was surprised.
“Simple?” Yin Seventeen shook his head solemnly. “To enter the Sea Realm, you must pass through the sky of the Sea Realm—the uppermost layer of seawater.”
“As everyone knows, the deeper the water, the stronger the pressure.”
“At a depth of one thousand meters, the pressure is about twenty tons; at ten thousand meters, it’s roughly ten thousand tons.”
“According to the Sacred Domain’s records, the shallowest edge of the Sea Realm is at least five thousand meters deep, while its deepest center exceeds ten thousand meters.”
“Do you still think it’s easy now?”
He glanced seriously at Shun.
The handsome youth shook his head repeatedly, no longer underestimating the vast blue sea.
Mu then strode forward toward the ocean, signaling the others to follow. “The Sea Realm is a forbidden zone inaccessible to mortals, but since you possess the power of your small cosmos, resisting the deep-sea pressure should not be an issue.”
Originally, with their small cosmos power, they could have directly plunged to the seabed and landed at the underwater ruins of the Mu Continent. But such a sudden entrance would create too much disturbance and inevitably attract the attention of the Sea Generals, jeopardizing their subsequent mining operations.
Therefore, Mu chose to lead them to quietly infiltrate from the Sea Realm’s edge before proceeding to the seabed ruins for mining.
Though this method wouldn’t completely escape the notice of many Sea Warriors, it would at least delay their exposure and buy them more time to mine more copper ore.
Soon, Yin Seventeen and Shun followed closely behind Mu, enveloping their bodies with their small cosmos energy as they ventured deeper into the ocean.
The seawater soon reached their knees, then their necks, then their heads, and the three vanished entirely beneath the waves.
Ten meters, twenty meters, thirty meters...
They descended along the seabed; the water grew darker and darker until almost no light remained. They had to rely on their sixth sense to track each other and observe their surroundings.
Besides the darkness, the second sensation the deep sea brought was pressure.
Every inch of skin, every strand of hair was constantly bearing the crushing weight of the water, intensifying with every meter of descent.
When they passed three thousand meters deep, Shun found lifting his feet increasingly laborious.
They wandered in the dark seabed for an uncertain time until Mu slowed pace and used telepathy to inform them, “We’re about to reach the edge of the Sea Realm. Keep your small cosmos energy restrained; don’t attract the Sea Warriors’ attention.”
“Yes!” the two responded in unison, suppressing their aura until their presence was barely detectable.
After nearly five more minutes, Mu suddenly stopped.
“Are we there?” Yin Seventeen sent his sixth sense forward to probe.
Suddenly, something blocked his perception; no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t penetrate it or ascertain what lay beyond.
“A barrier?” The thought struck him instantly.
It had to be the Sea Realm’s protective barrier.
“Stay right here and don’t move. I’ll go in first to scout,” Mu instructed before stepping forward and vanishing from their senses.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the barrier, two Sea Warriors on guard lounged lazily against a stone pillar, chatting idly.
“Did you hear? Lord Bian suffered a heavy loss last time he went out near the western Pacific coast,” one said.
“I’m not sure of the details, but I heard when Lord Bian returned, a large piece of his scale armor was shattered. He looked badly injured,” the other replied.
“His scale armor was broken? I wonder what kind of enemy he faced!” the first exclaimed.
According to their knowledge, Lord Bian’s seahorse scale armor was the finest in the Sea Realm, incomparable to their common armor.
Even if they exerted all their strength, they couldn’t leave a scratch on it.
An enemy powerful enough to shatter that armor was truly formidable.
At that moment, a purple-haired man with a red scarf and dotted red eyebrows emerged from the barrier nearby.
The two guards were stunned, suddenly realizing someone had intruded into the Sea Realm.
“Who are you?” they demanded, scrambling to their feet, ready to apprehend the intruder.
However, the deep-water pressure outside the Sea Realm formed a natural barrier that ordinary people couldn’t penetrate, and intruders were rarely seen.
Over time, their vigilance had waned.
Caught off guard, the two even tripped over each other’s weapon shafts and fell hard to the ground.
Just as they were about to rise, a powerful telepathic wave swept into their minds.
“Sleep now, sleep peacefully,” Mu’s voice echoed.
“Sleep now, sleep peacefully..."
Their heads grew heavy, eyes closing involuntarily as they slipped into a deep sleep.
Within moments, Mu had hypnotized the two Sea Warriors.
Though not skilled in mental attacks, his seventh sense made it effortless to subdue two Sea Warriors barely able to ignite their small cosmos.
He then transformed the telepathic force into giant hands, gently placing the two back against the pillars, arranging them in natural sleeping postures.
Even if other Sea Warriors passed by, it would be hard to suspect anything.
This was also why he refrained from killing them—murder would only hasten the revelation of their entry into the Sea Realm.
After ensuring no one was left behind, Mu slipped back through the barrier into the pitch-black deep waters on the other side.
“Follow me quickly!” he called to Yin Seventeen and Shun, then crossed into the Sea Realm once more, standing guard for them.
“Let’s go!” Yin Seventeen used telepathy to summon Shun, who immediately plunged into the barrier—impervious to their sixth sense.
In an instant, the once-dark depths transformed into a brilliantly illuminated “land world.”
Yet Yin Seventeen’s reason told him this was no land but the seabed of the deep sea.
Beside him, Shun followed through the barrier, wide-eyed with amazement at this novel world.
Though he had mentally prepared after hearing from their seniors that the Sea Realm was a hollow world, the reality of stepping inside and seeing it with his own eyes still took him by surprise.
What he saw was far more astonishing than he had imagined.
