Chapter 146: Pincer Attack (Part Two)
Instead of worrying about others, you had better take care of yourself first, Aries! Io roared with wild laughter as he descended from the sky.
"Big Bear's Clutch!"
With a single punch, a towering gray bear several meters tall materialized and lunged toward the three figures below.
Having no time to prepare a counterattack, Mu immediately dragged Yin Shengyu and the other person as he hurriedly retreated backward.
Boom!
The savage bear landed, and the massive shockwave made the already chaotic battlefield look even more devastated. Within a radius of hundreds of meters, not a single intact piece of coral could be seen on the ground.
Having forced Mu back with a single blow and feeling that he had the upper hand, Io became even more arrogant. Right after the giant bear landed, he threw another punch.
"Vampire Bat!"
In an instant, countless bats materialized, drifting like a dark cloud toward the three of them.
Mu gathered his Cosmo into his right hand and calmly opened it outward.
"Crystal Wall!"
A transparent, spherical barrier instantly materialized, enveloping the three of them. The bats could be heard flapping wildly and crashing against the outside of the barrier, yet not a single one could get through.
"Damn it! Troublesome technique!"
Upon seeing this, Io spat fiercely in frustration and had no choice but to reluctantly cancel his attack.
Glancing at Bian, who was slowly walking over with a Scale armor covered in cracks, Io asked, "How are your injuries?"
Bian was no match for the Aries Gold Saint. To create an opening for Io by dealing with the full-power strike of Aries alone, he must have suffered severe injuries.
"Cough, cough, cough!"
Bian covered his mouth and coughed violently, and fresh red blood immediately seeped out from between his fingers.
"I won't die for now, but I'll need to rest for a very long time again!" He stared intently at Mu and the other two not far away, his tone filled with murderous intent.
If he were to take a strike like that one more time, he feared he would truly die here.
Hearing this, Io's expression instantly turned grave.
With Bian severely injured, his combat capability would be drastically reduced, and relying solely on himself, he was certainly no match for Aries.
Immediately, he silently used telepathy to contact the other five Marina Generals.
"Why haven't the few of you arrived yet? Just the two of us, Bian and I, cannot handle the Aries Saint!"
As soon as Bian discovered that the Aries Saint had entered the Realm of Poseidon, he had notified all of them and requested support at any time.
Far away in the North Atlantic, Sea Dragon Kanon looked up at the sky and said helplessly, "We can't come! Those Gold Saints from the Sanctuary have targeted our Pillar of the North Atlantic Ocean, launching long-range attacks from time to time. We simply cannot break away!"
Shielded by the barrier, the Sanctuary could not probe the specific situation inside the Realm of Poseidon and thus could not lock onto individual Marina Generals to attack them. However, while people could move freely, the Pillars of the Oceans were stationary.
The positions of the ocean pillars were fixed, and having experienced the Holy Wars across countless eras, they had long since been thoroughly mapped out by the Sanctuary.
Therefore, even across the barrier, those fellows in the Sanctuary could easily take aim at the pillars and launch attacks.
"That's right, we cannot break away!"
In the Indian Ocean, Chrysaor Krishna held his golden spear, remaining vigilant as he said, "Whether you two can keep the Aries Saint here depends entirely on your own abilities!"
"Besides, if the two of you cannot take him down even with a two-on-one advantage and still ask us for support, wouldn't that diminish the majesty of Lord Poseidon?"
"If that is the case, I don't think you need to continue wearing those Scale armors!"
Before his voice had even faded, a sharp edge pierced through the firmament, plunging downward once more toward the pillar behind him like a divine sword slicing through the sky.
"Let us compare and see whose holy sword is stronger, or whose golden spear is sharper, Capricorn!"
Fighting spirit surged in Krishna's eyes. He gripped his golden spear tightly, infused his Cosmo into it, and thrust it upward toward the sky.
Without a doubt, the one capable of producing such sharpness was none other than the Capricorn Saint from the Zodiac.
Rumor had it that the Capricorn Saint possessed the holy sword bestowed by Athena, while the golden spear in his own hand was passed down by the Lord of the Oceans.
He desperately wanted to know whose edge was sharper!
Whoosh!
A golden beam of sharpness shot out from the tip of his spear, colliding with the piercing aura that had slashed through the sky. As a result, both dissolved into nothingness, neither able to overcome the other.
In the Aquarius Temple, Camus, who was tasked with harassing the Marina General of the Arctic Ocean, fell into deep puzzlement.
When he used his freezing air to harass the Pillar of the Arctic Ocean, the Marina General guarding the Arctic Ocean had stepped out to counter it. Yet, it was precisely at that moment that he discovered a strange thing.
The Marina General guarding the Arctic Ocean was also remarkably proficient in using freezing energy, and his skill was in no way inferior to his own.
What shocked him even more was that he sensed a familiar Cosmo aura within the opponent's freezing energy.
It was just that the opponent seemed deliberately concealed, and whenever Camus tried to identify it further, it completely eluded his grasp.
"What on earth is going on here?" Camus remained deeply puzzled.
At the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, near the ruins of the continent of Mu, after receiving the replies from the other Marina Generals stating they could not come to their aid, Io's heart sank to the bottom.
Given their current condition, it was nearly impossible for the two of them to trap the Aries Saint.
However, to stand by and watch the Aries Saint leave safely just like that filled him with extreme unwillingness.
This Realm of the Oceans was Lord Poseidon's territory, after all. It was not a place where anyone could come and go as they pleased.
They had to uphold the majesty of Lord Poseidon!
"Do you have any good ideas?" Io immediately used telepathy to ask Bian.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
Covering his mouth once more, Bian went through another fit of violent coughing, and quietly replied via telepathy: "Right behind us is the forbidden zone!"
"Since we cannot kill the Aries Saint, let us knock him into the forbidden zone and let him be buried there forever!"
Behind this Orichalcum mining site lay a vast plateau terrain, its area comparable to the entire continent of Australia.
Through the inherited memories imprinted within their Scale armors, they knew that this was formed by the sinking of another continent named Mu.
Since the mythological era, that sunken continent had been designated as a forbidden zone by the Lord of the Oceans.
Even they, the guardians of the pillars and the seven most trusted Marina Generals of Poseidon, were strictly prohibited from entering it.
No one knew why the Lord of the Oceans had established such a forbidden zone, nor did anyone know what truly lay within it. Yet the more mysterious it was, the more curious the Mariners became.
Quite a few powerful Marina Generals had ventured into it in the past, but none of them had ever walked back out.
Consequently, the ruins of the continent of Mu had become a forbidden zone in the Pacific Realm of the Oceans that everyone spoke of with fear.
Hearing this, a flash of realization lit up Io's eyes.
"This idea is simply brilliant!"
Owing to the transient nature of telepathic communication, within mere seconds, the two of them had figured out a way to resolve their current predicament after learning that reinforcements were unavailable.
"Do it!"
Bian let out a furious roar, casting all his injuries to the back of his mind as he burned his Cosmo once more, forcefully unleashing his ultimate technique.
"Rising Billows!"
Ocean waves swelled high and fierce winds howled, merging and converging into a terrifying water dragon twist that assaulted Mu and the other two on the opposite side.
Io likewise burned his Cosmo, throwing out his ultimate punch with tacit synchronization.
"Big Bear's Clutch!"
The towering gray bear materialized once more, riding on the momentum of Bian's water dragon twist to launch a final charge against the three figures trapped within the Crystal Wall.
