Chapter 147: Entering the Forbidden Zone at Last
"You two stand behind me and do not move around!" Mu called out to Yin Shishi and the other, immediately gathering his Cosmo force into his hands.
He knew very well that his Crystal Wall alone could not withstand the joint onslaught of the two enemies.
If he were alone, he could easily dodge the combined attack of the two Mariners by utilizing the obstruction of the Crystal Wall, but with two heavily injured juniors in tow, dodging was clearly out of the question.
He had no choice but to take the hit head-on.
Crack!
Faced with the hurricane waves and the charging Grizzly, the Crystal Wall was like fragile glass. After persisting for just a few short seconds, it shattered into the air with a loud crash.
However, although the Crystal Wall broke, it bought Mu enough time to accumulate his power.
"Starlight Extinction!"
He spread his hands, and brilliant light instantly shone in his palms, radiating forward countless golden starlights capable of annihilating space.
In just an instant, it held back the ocean waves, hurricane, and raging bear of the two Mariners.
However, although Sea Horse Byian was heavily injured, after burning his Cosmo desperately to unleash his power, the might of his ultimate technique still retained a considerable level.
Combined with Scylla Io, it was still enough to suppress Mu alone.
Faced with their combined offensive, the golden starlight was being pushed back and shrinking bit by bit.
"Not good!"
Seeing that Mu was clearly outmatched and his entire body was sliding backward under the pressure of their offensive, Yin Shishi endured the sharp pain and chopped forward with a hand-blade.
"Excalibur: Slash!"
Regardless of how much help this sliver of power could actually provide, it was still better than hiding behind Mu and watching helplessly as the situation worsened.
In an instant, a silver sword qi broke free from his hand and slashed toward the hurricane waves and the raging bear ahead.
Boom!
Unfortunately, the moment his sword qi drew close, it was shattered into pieces by the impact generated by the three-way collision, lacking even the qualification to participate in the contest of strength.
"Haaah—!"
Mu clenched his teeth and desperately output his Cosmo, attempting to reverse the disadvantage of being overpowered by the two.
Yet, outnumbered as he was, even when he pushed the power of 'Starlight Extinction' to his personal limit, he still could not stem the tide, only managing to slow down the speed at which he was being forced back.
Seeing that the golden starlight was about to be completely overwhelmed, Io could no longer conceal his excitement and shouted to his companion.
"We are just a little bit away, just a little bit! Put in a little more effort, Byian!"
"Good!"
Blood spilled from Byian's mouth as he completely gave up on suppressing his injuries, burning his Cosmo to the limit and intensifying the output of his Cosmo force.
In an instant, the wounds all over his body ruptured, and countless gushes of blood poured out, dyeing his dark golden scales a brilliant crimson.
Rumble!
The golden starlight was completely overwhelmed and shattered, and the collision of the three-way attack triggered a massive explosion.
Faced with the shockwave of the explosion, Mu had no time to overthink. He immediately turned around, gathered Yin Shishi and Shun into his arms, and used his own back to block the attack.
Boom!
The immense impact force landed squarely on his back, and Mu's internal organs were immediately jolted and injured, fresh blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
However, none of this mattered.
What truly worried Mu was that the three of them were blown backward by that huge explosive force, their bodies involuntarily flying toward the ruins of the Continent of Mu behind them.
Fortunately, the entire Continent of Mu was situated on a plateau terrain beneath the ocean, and behind them was a steep slope dozens of meters high.
Without accident, they should be intercepted on the steep slope and would not fly deep into the Continent of Mu.
Right at this moment, the triumphant laughter of Scylla Io came from behind.
"Be buried forever in this seabed, Aries!"
Having planned ahead, the moment the starlight shattered, Io charged forward against the explosive shockwave and threw his fist toward the three of them once again.
"Grizzly Slap!"
A giant bear several meters high materialized into a phantom, running toward Yin Shishi and the other two at a breathtaking speed utterly inconsistent with its bulky frame.
"Crystal Wall!"
Too late to dodge, Mu once again used his psychokinesis to deploy a transparent spherical barrier, firmly protecting the three within it.
Thud!
The raging bear waved its heavy front paws and struck the Crystal Wall fiercely.
However, this time, the bear did not strike forward as it usually would; instead, acting completely contrary to convention, it burrowed beneath the three of them and swung its paws upward to strike from below.
"Not good! Mr. Mu, he wants to knock us deep into the Continent of Mu!" Seeing the three of them being batted upward into the air, Yin Shishi instantly guessed Io's intention.
The Continent of Mu lay at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and was part of the domain of Poseidon's forces; it was simply impossible that these Mariners were unaware of the dangers within.
Clearly, seeing that Mu was too difficult to deal with, Io and his companion chose to knock them all together into the perilous Continent of Mu, hoping to use the powers within the continent to dispose of them.
"I know, but there's no other way! We can only take it one step at a time!" Looking at the plateau below, Mu felt a sense of helplessness.
While the Crystal Wall protected them, it also completely imprisoned them within, making it impossible to interfere with anything outside.
Moreover, Io's attack was too sudden, giving him no time to react. By the time he realized this, all three of them had already been batted into the airspace above the Continent of Mu and were plummeting rapidly.
More importantly, being artificially knocked into the air was fundamentally different from leaping and gliding on one's own.
Because of the massive impact generated by Io's attack and the explosion just now, he had lost the ability to control their direction. Even if he were to dissolve the Crystal Wall now, it would be of no use and could not change their falling trajectory.
He could only do his utmost to stabilize the defensive barrier of the Crystal Wall to prevent the two heavily injured juniors from being shaken to death by the landing impact.
Hearing this, Yin Shishi and Shun immediately fell silent.
Although they were both curious about the mysterious Continent of Mu, they had no desire to court death.
Even the people of Jamir, who had awakened the Seventh Sense and were comparable to Gold Saints, went there and never returned; for the two of them, who possessed only the Sixth Sense, entering this place meant their chances of survival were undoubtedly slim.
Yet, gazing at the ground drawing closer beneath them, a nameless fear arose in Mu's heart, mixed with a hint of anticipation.
Recovering the heritage of the Jamir clan was the dream of all Jamir people.
He was no exception.
Originally, he had planned that if he could survive this Holy War and train Kiki to maturity, he would step foot here to inherit the unfulfilled will of his ancestors.
Entering this place ahead of schedule now was not within his plans, but it still stirred a mild excitement within him.
Perhaps this was the guidance of the Goddess, the protection of the Jamir ancestors.
The time for him to recover the heritage of the Jamir clan had arrived.
It was only a pity that he had dragged these two young juniors into this dangerous land, causing him to feel a trace of guilt.
Boom!
Under the protection of the Crystal Wall, the three crashed heavily onto a small hill.
With a deafening roar, the entire small hill instantly shattered under the terrifying impact force, flattened into level ground.
Outside the Continent of Mu, Byian lay on the ground covered in blood, looking like a bloody figure, and weakly asked his companion, "Did... did we succeed...?"
Io carefully helped him up and said with overwhelming joy, "We succeeded!"
