Chapter Ten: The Founding of Dragon Studio
“What is it? Just tell me directly,” I said.
Feng Xiaoyue replied, “I want to set up a gaming studio and invite you all to join.”
Idle ones were gnawing at the blood and flesh scattered among the mutilated bodies. He could still see clearly: one green-scaled lizard had clamped onto a blood-red length of intestine, swallowing and tugging, pulling it entirely from the corpse.
Witnessing this scene, I felt a wave of nausea and revulsion. These bodies were, of course, the players—many had accepted the quest, and now hundreds lay sprawled across the ground.
Several giant lizards noticed me, then spread out in a fan formation, their throats rasping with hoarse cries, and suddenly, like arrows, they charged at me.
One of the massive lizards reached me with astonishing speed, jaws wide open; with a crunch, it bit into my left shoulder and flung me aside.
Another quickly came at me, tearing a chunk of flesh from my left chest and abdomen, exposing the pale bones beneath.
Looking at my own body and those gruesome monsters facing me, I wondered—am I really going to die here, barely ten minutes after logging in? This is just too bizarre.
