Chapter 112: A Narrow Encounter
"It's you!" "You!"
Two female players approached from the front. One, a female archer, held a cool-looking large blue bow, while the other, clearly a summoner, had a whip tucked at her waist.
These two were none other than Silver Moon and Guardian, the very people I had clashed with in the past. To call it a blood feud might be an exaggeration, but at the very least, that was how the two women saw it. (Well, if you take advantage of someone, can you really expect them not to hold a grudge?)
Good grief! Could I be any more unlucky? I had only enjoyed a few days of peace, yet here I was, running into them again. And the timing was outrageously coincidental—running into one would have been bad enough, but both at once? The worst part was that they clearly knew each other and seemed quite close. I really should have checked the almanac before heading out today.
I knew my own limits. My odds of winning against one were slim; taking on two at once meant my chances were effectively zero. I quickly pulled out a town portal scroll to enter the teleportation space, but the next moment, a large hand grabbed my leg. I looked down—right, I had forgotten about *him*. In the next second, the Cyberdramon pulled me out of the teleportation space and slammed me onto the ground, while both women exclaimed in unison, "Weiwei-long!"
"Hi!" I greeted them with a bitter smile before the Cyberdramon’s spear thrust downward. I rolled to dodge, scrambled a few times, and climbed to my feet. Almost simultaneously, Silver Moon raised her large blue bow. With a sharp hiss, a beam of blue light shot toward me like lightning.
I hurriedly dodged to the side, while Guardian silently tossed three metal spheres. "Cyberdramons, emerge!" In the next second, three massive Cyberdramons appeared.
Upon manifesting, the three Cyberdramons let out mechanical roars that sounded like thunder. They fired their "Eternal Evolution Beams" without hesitation. I dodged left and right, but as the Cyberdramons attacked, Silver Moon raised her bow high and fired a single arrow into the sky, from which countless arrows rained down like a locust swarm. At the same time, the Cyberdramon extended its arms, its claws lengthening as it lunged at me.
"Sonic Werewolf!" I summoned my own beast without a second thought.
*Howl!* The massive Sonic Werewolf appeared at my side, leaped, and lunged at the Cyberdramon.
I simultaneously activated a feint to block the rain of arrows, but in that split second, blue light beams began firing from Silver Moon’s bow one after another.
While dodging, my "Golden Eyes of Insight" scanned her: Level 47, Charger. Equipment: Frost Bow (Green), Flowing Light Jacket (Green), Exterminator Gloves (Green), Pioneer Boots (Silver), others unknown.
Her gear was excellent—three green items and one silver. However, I took two hits in that instant, and my health dropped by 2,783 points. I quickly gulped down a potion.
*Roar!* The Sonic Werewolf growled, its fists slamming wildly into the Cyberdramon. The Werewolf’s speed was absolutely superior, but the Cyberdramon was no slouch. It plunged its spear into the ground and spun its entire body rapidly. The Sonic Werewolf took countless hits and was sent flying.
I cursed under my breath, but just then, one of the Cyberdramons materialized and bound me tightly. As it constricted, my health began to drain by 10 points per second.
I activated a "True/False" maneuver to break free, but I still couldn't avoid taking two more hits from the "Eternal Evolution Beam." The passive skills of these Cyberdramons were truly terrifying. Another three thousand points of health vanished in an instant.
I grunted, stayed silent, and suddenly accelerated into a desperate charge. Since I couldn't escape, I would have to break through head-on. "Dragon Warrior!" I summoned my Dragon Warrior, leaped onto its back, and had it take off quickly. "Fuse!" But at that moment, Guardian ordered her three Cyberdramons to fuse. The "Cyber Ultimate Dragon" appeared, and she and Silver Moon chased after me, relentless in their assault, while leaving the Cyberdramon to keep the Sonic Werewolf occupied.
With the Cyber Ultimate Dragon firing lasers from behind, the Dragon Warrior’s massive size made it an obvious target. It took seven or eight high-level hits in an instant; I was luckier and only got grazed.
The 4,000 points of damage nearly bottomed out my health. I gulped down another potion. "Eternal Evolution Beam: Final Impact!" Guardian shouted. The three heads of the Cyber Ultimate Dragon fired lasers in unison. The Dragon Warrior turned to shield me with its own body, and the force sent both beast and rider spiraling through the air.
With a deafening *boom*, both the Dragon Warrior and I howled in agony, blood spraying everywhere.
As the Dragon Warrior crashed to the ground, I used my black sword to pull myself up. "Dragon Warrior, heal quickly! Amaterasu, go!" I issued the order. The Dragon Warrior sat down to meditate and recover, while Amaterasu manifested. "Anyone who bullies my Brother Dragon must die!" she declared, hurling a "Blood Storm" from her hand.
It pierced the chest of the Cyber Ultimate Dragon, which roared and plummeted from the sky, spilling Silver Moon and Guardian from its back. Thanks to Amaterasu’s sneak attack, the Cyber Ultimate Dragon’s health dropped to nearly half—it had only two thousand points left. Guardian surely wouldn't dare recall it to recover; this was undoubtedly my chance.
"Come forth, Disciple of the Blue Gate!" Guardian tossed another metal sphere, and a mechanical dog appeared.
Name: Disciple of the Blue Gate. Type: Special. Race: Machine. Evolution: No. Health: 1,500. Attack: 500. Defense: 1,200.
Skills: Self-Repair, Armor Fusion, Power Assembly Parts, Wheel Mode.

After appearing, the Disciple of the Blue Gate merged with the Cyber Ultimate Dragon, which instantly revitalized. "Brother Dragon, you go first! I’ll chop this metal monster to pieces and catch up with you," Amaterasu shouted at me, lunging to engage the revived Cyber Ultimate Dragon.
"Trying to escape? Not a chance! Come out..."
"Did she recall the Cyberdramon?" I muttered.
"MetalGreymon!"
"What!" I couldn't believe my ears. A giant beast descended from the sky and landed before me. This MetalGreymon looked different from the ones people knew—its skin was blue-gray, its helmet was blue, its sharp horn was on the top of its head instead of its snout and was colored red, its wings resembled those of an airplane, and its left mechanical claw was blue instead of the usual silver-gray.
Name: MetalGreymon. Type: Special. Race: Dragon/Machine. Modified Special Lifeform. Health: 6,000. Attack: 3,500. Defense: 2,200.

A MetalGreymon that had crossed over? It felt absurd, but seeing those formidable stats, I realized that today might truly be the end for me!
