That night, Su Zhengjun lay in bed, unable to fall asleep for a long time, tossing and turning restlessly. The betrothal gifts delivered this time were indeed generous, but compared to those presented previously, there was still a clear gap, and the confusion caused by the mix-up was truly a headache.

So at dawn, without hesitation, Su Zhengjun set out early, driving straight to the residential complex where Su Rulan lived. It was just about the time people left for work. As soon as he saw Su Rulan coming out of the building, Su Zhengjun rolled down his window, leaned out, and waved her over, signaling her to get in.

“You actually got a new car?” Su Weimin’s eyes widened, staring fixedly at the brand-new Range Rover in front of him. His mind buzzed as he hurried to walk around the vehicle twice.

“And it’s a Range Rover, Weimin! Isn’t that your favorite brand?” Gao Yulan knew perfectly well that Su Weimin had dreamed of owning a Range Rover.

Su Rulan swallowed hard. She had long known Su Weimin wanted a new car, but such a luxury vehicle was something she would never allow herself to buy. Just yesterday, her uncle had put on a show, and today he drove over in a Range Rover. What was he up to this time?

She asked, “Uncle, what are you doing?”

“It’s nothing,” Su Zhengjun replied hurriedly, “Get in first. Today, I’ll drive you to the company. Weimin, leave your old wreck behind; who knows if it’ll break down halfway.”

Seeing that, the whole family had no choice but to go along and get in the car.

Inside the Range Rover, the luxurious interior and comfortable seats instantly left them stunned and envious.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Su Weimin swallowed hard and couldn’t help but ask, “Where did you get this car? I never heard you were buying one.”

Su Zhengjun pursed his lips, started driving, and as they moved onto the road, he explained everything that had happened the previous night.

When they learned that another betrothal gift had been delivered, everyone in the car was utterly shocked. But after the shock came a wave of repressed frustration.

“So, you just came here to show off, didn’t you?” Su Weimin gritted his teeth, furious.

“Uncle, is this really necessary?” Su Rulan’s nails dug into her palms.

“Su Zhengjun, wasn’t yesterday enough for you? Do you have to keep pushing us?” Gao Yulan was seething with anger, cursing Su Zhengjun’s shamelessness in her heart.

Faced with their reaction, Su Zhengjun was helpless, his expression bitter. “I’m really not here to show off. I came to apologize to you all, and I also want to give this car to Weimin as a token of my goodwill. After all, hasn’t Weimin always liked Range Rovers?”

“Really?” Su Weimin’s face changed instantly, a bright smile spreading across his features.

Su Zhengjun patted his chest and swore, “Absolutely. I’m a man of my word. Compared to all the grievances you’ve suffered over the years, a Range Rover is nothing. But you must promise me one thing—please put in a good word for me with Ye Tianlin.”

“Of course! That’s easy!” Su Weimin broke into a wide grin.

From the back seat, Gao Yulan quickly reached out and pinched Su Weimin’s waist, muttering, “Are you stupid? This is a Range Rover! Who just gives one away? He’s obviously acting again, and you can’t even see it!”

Su Rulan said angrily, “Uncle, this is too much! We’re family—how can you treat us like this? Don’t you feel any guilt?”

Su Zhengjun suddenly felt the urge to hang himself, nearly driven insane. He pleaded, “What do you want me to do so you’ll believe me? Ye Tianlin really is the true young master of the Ye family!”

“You bastard! If Yulan hadn’t reminded me just now, I would have believed you were being generous. Stop pretending! If Ye Tianlin really is the Ye family’s heir, why did he specifically ask to give each of us a gift last night?” Su Weimin finally realized and started cursing.

Su Zhengjun said miserably, “Because the betrothal gifts from last night and before weren’t from the same person. You have to understand that! I came early just to clear things up with you.”

“What kind of coincidence is that? Stop pretending! I’ve never seen a big brother act like this—bullying me every single day!” Su Weimin glared at him.

“Exactly! All you do is flaunt your power all day long. What’s there to be so proud of?” Gao Yulan added with a sneer.

“Uncle, what have we done to deserve this? Do you really want to drive us away before you’ll be satisfied?” Su Rulan said.

Su Zhengjun’s face tightened, feeling as if a hundred mouths wouldn’t be enough to explain. He blamed Su Yicai for everything—if it weren’t for that troublemaker, things would never have turned out like this.

Before long, they arrived at the Su family’s company. As soon as the Range Rover stopped, everyone got out. Right next to them was a BMW 7 Series, looking impressive, with Su Yicai squatting by its side, happily polishing the windows.

“Dad, I was wondering where you went so early. Turns out you went to pick them up. That Range Rover must be nice to ride in, huh?” Su Yicai said with a mocking smile.

“Su Yicai, shut up!” Su Zhengjun shot him a warning look.

Su Yicai sneered, “Right, right, I should keep my mouth shut. Otherwise, someone here might not be able to handle it. But as Grandpa said, these are all minor things. The real highlight is the Bihuai Bay villas—two of them! When my sister comes back in a few days, we’ll take you for a proper tour!”

Su Rulan’s expression stiffened. She thought her uncle and cousin were putting on a double act.

Su Weimin and Gao Yulan were so agitated their faces turned ashen, cursing the pair in their hearts hundreds of times over.

But when it came to the Bihuai Bay villas, it would be a lie to say they weren’t envious. That was, after all, the most expensive area in Jiangnan, the real enclave of the wealthy.

Unfortunately, none of this had anything to do with them.
