Chapter 28: The Invitation from Sky Mist Corporation

Returning to the rented community, Su Weimin entered and changed his shoes, then began to curse profusely. "This time, it's clearly intentional. Just now, Su Yicai said that if things get tough, we can sign an agreement to hand the project over to him. The meaning is very obvious!"

"The old man is simply too biased, clearly trying to force us to give up all the benefits. It's utterly unreasonable." Su Weimin sat down heavily, his anger palpable. Gao Yulan's face was also filled with rage as she followed suit, exclaiming, "It's not just unreasonable; it's downright despicable and shameless. No wonder the old man appeared so calm today; it turns out he had planned this all along."

It was evident that if things continued down this path, they would inevitably be forced to transfer all contracts to Su Yicai, resulting in a truly embarrassing situation. Su Rulan felt despondent; she had poured considerable effort into completing the project proposal, only to encounter such a troublesome dilemma. Unfortunately, her individual strength was too weak—her arms could not twist the thigh, and despite racking her brain, she could not find a suitable solution.

Just when Su Rulan was consumed by anxiety, she suddenly realized that she could not find Ye Tianlin anywhere in the house. Startled, she trembled and exclaimed, "Where has Tianlin gone?"

Su Weimin snorted coldly, "Let him go wherever he wants; it's best if he never comes back. Just seeing him brings me bad luck!"

Gao Yulan expressed her disdain, saying, "Exactly! Since he's left on his own, we won't bother looking for him. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't be dragged down like this."

"Mom, Dad, how can you say that? Tianlin is my husband and your son-in-law. Can you at least have some decency?" Su Rulan bit her teeth in frustration and turned to go out in search of him.

However, just as she opened the door, Ye Tianlin returned from outside.

Su Rulan breathed a sigh of relief, immediately grabbing his arm and tremblingly asking, "Tianlin, where have you been? Do you know how scared I was?"

Seeing that Ye Tianlin was safe and sound, Su Weimin and Gao Yulan hurried out to check. Upon seeing him unharmed, the couple exchanged glances, their disdain deepening.

Ye Tianlin smiled and slowly handed Su Rulan an invitation letter, explaining, "I just went to the Tiandu Chamber of Commerce and got this invitation letter for you. Consider it one of the surprises!"

Su Rulan was momentarily taken aback, her gaze gradually shifting to the cover of the invitation letter. The cover prominently displayed the four striking characters: Tianlan Group!

Upon seeing the invitation letter from Tianlan Group, Su Rulan was instantly shocked. Su Weimin, quick to react, snatched it from her hands and opened it with Gao Yulan, their expressions becoming increasingly moved.

Su Weimin exclaimed, "Tianlan Group, established by the Tiandu Chamber of Commerce, is inviting Rulan to serve as the Group President?"

Gao Yulan's eyes widened in disbelief as she gasped, "The minimum annual salary is one hundred million, project commissions are additional, and you can also enjoy the annual group dividends?"

With their exclamations, the room felt as if it had trembled. “Tianlan Group is actually letting me be the Group President...” Su Rulan was dumbfounded, her mind blank; this was absolutely an unimaginable treatment, with the guaranteed annual salary alone being an astronomical figure!

Ye Tianlin smiled, "This was specially prepared for you. The Su family’s company is too small to support the later project operations, which is why all those contracts were assigned solely to you. Once the time comes, you can take these projects and switch companies!"

Su Weimin snapped back to reality, slapping his forehead in astonishment, "Why have I never heard of this Tianlan Group? You’re not just making this up, are you?"

Ye Tianlin explained, "Tianlan Group hasn't gone public yet; it's currently in the early stages of deployment and has to go through several processes. It should be officially established in about a month!"

Gao Yulan shot him a skeptical glance, "I think you’re just spouting nonsense. This is probably something you printed out randomly from the downstairs copy shop. There’s no way something this good could happen!"

Su Rulan quickly calmed her emotions and, after careful consideration, felt it was unlikely. She stored the invitation letter away and advised, "Tianlin, stop joking around."

Su Weimin crossed his arms, glaring furiously, "I can tolerate being bullied at the company today, but to come home and watch this idiot perform? If this continues, I might just get sick from anger."

"What trouble did you encounter at the company today?" Ye Tianlin furrowed his brow slightly.

Gao Yulan responded angrily, "What trouble? Although the third contract happened to be delivered after you mentioned it, the old man is deliberately targeting Rulan, tightly gripping her neck and not allowing the proposal to pass. It's all to force Rulan to give up and sign an agreement to transfer the project to Su Yicai, returning all the benefits!"

Hearing this, Ye Tianlin quickly understood, though he wasn't particularly surprised, as such behavior was expected from Su's grandfather.

Calmly, Ye Tianlin reassured, "Don't worry, my dear. Just focus on completing each contract proposal as quickly as possible without showing them to Su's grandfather. Once Tianlan Group is established, everything will naturally fall into place."

"How can you still speak so casually at a time like this? Having a son-in-law like you is like I’ve drawn the worst of luck. While others are driving Land Rovers and BMWs, I don't even have a fart to my name!" Su Weimin's forehead was lined with veins.

"Look at Su Yuxue and then at Rulan; both are named Ye Tianlin. Why is there such a huge disparity?" Gao Yulan's eyes were red with emotion.

Su Rulan, unable to tolerate it any longer, retorted with fury, "If you have the ability, go argue with Grandpa! What does it matter to take this out on Tianlin? Even if this so-called Tianlan Group is just Tianlin's imagination, at least his intentions are good. Everything he does is for me!"
