“Tianlin, the car’s gone. Why don’t we just forget it?” Su Rulan spoke with a bitter expression, clearly lacking any confidence and beginning to waver. “Our community isn’t far from here. Let’s just walk back slowly and treat it as an evening stroll.”

“I can ignore what others think, but I can’t ignore you,” Ye Tianlin replied, gently taking her hand. “Since it’s inconvenient without a car, I’ll have one sent to pick us up.” He took out his phone, his gaze growing resolute.

Ye Tianlin made a brief call, simply giving their location. Less than five minutes later, nearly ten luxury cars, each worth a fortune, drove straight through the hospital gates. The most eye-catching of all was a silver-and-black extended Phantom. The Spirit of Ecstasy statuette on the hood proclaimed the owner’s extraordinary status.

Patients and their families passing by were drawn by the spectacle, gathering around with exclamations of astonishment.

“Who on earth is visiting the hospital today?”

“That’s a Rolls-Royce. The extended Phantom!”

They are waiting for you and Miss Su to tour the premises together!”

“Very efficient,” Ye Tianlin replied with a satisfied smile.

Zhao Shanhe dared not show the slightest pride. He clasped his hands and bowed again. “This is my duty, Young Master. There is no need for praise. Besides, since this is Miss Su’s first visit to the Tiandu Chamber of Commerce, the occasion must be grand enough!”

Su Rulan looked around, her gaze finally settling on Zhao Shanhe’s face. She trembled with disbelief and stammered, “I—I—have we met somewhere before?”

Zhao Shanhe bowed slightly toward her and replied with a smile, “Miss Su, we met before at the Su family villa. Have you forgotten? I also sent my daughter several times to deliver contracts to you.”

“Your daughter—is she Zhao Qing?” Su Rulan exclaimed in astonishment.

Zhao Shanhe nodded. “That’s right. Zhao Qing is my daughter. However, she still doesn’t know about your relationship with the Young Master; she was only following instructions.”

Su Rulan felt dazed, never imagining there was such a connection behind the scenes. So the man before her was truly the newly appointed president of the Tiandu Chamber of Commerce.

“There are many inconveniences here at the hospital,” Zhao Shanhe continued deferentially, gesturing toward the car. “Young Master, Miss Su, please allow me to escort you to the Tiandu Chamber of Commerce.”
