Chapter 45: Everything Is Real

Ten minutes later, they finally arrived at Celestial Capital Chamber of Commerce.

At that moment, a gathering of high-ranking members stood at the entrance, lending the scene an air of solemnity. Sitting in the car, Su Rulan was utterly astonished by the grand display outside. Zhao Shanhe, ever deferential, hurriedly opened the car door and extended his hand to assist her out, his bearing that of a perfect servant.

Su Rulan had never witnessed such a spectacle. She sat frozen in the car, at a complete loss, her heart filled with nervous apprehension.

“Come, get out with me,” Ye Tianlin said, fully aware that the surprise was overwhelming and that Su Rulan would need time to recover. Without hesitation, he grasped her hand tightly and led her swiftly out of the car.

Zhao Shanhe immediately surveyed the scene and announced in a commanding voice, “The young master has arrived. Why are you servants not paying your respects?”

His words sent a ripple through the crowd. The servants bowed in unison, a truly astonishing sight.

“Celestial Capital Chamber of Commerce welcomes the young master!”

“Welcome, young mistress!”

Su Rulan gasped, her very soul shaken by the spectacle before her. She finally realized that Ye Tianlin had never lied to her—not once. Everything was utterly and completely true.

Ye Tianlin was indeed the true heir of the Ye family!

As for the truth of the matter, it had all been a misunderstanding, misled by Su Yicai from the very beginning.

In that moment, Su Rulan was more excited than she had ever been, though she felt a twinge of regret. If only she had known earlier, she would have brought Su Weimin and Gao Yulan from the hospital—no matter what. Without witnessing this with their own eyes, her parents would never believe it. They would only mock and ridicule her when she returned home.

In her anxiety, Su Rulan urged, “Tianlin, quickly call my parents. No matter what, they must see this for themselves today. I can’t let you be misunderstood any longer!”

Ye Tianlin nodded, took out his phone, and called Su Weimin, explaining everything that was happening.

But on the other end, Su Weimin didn’t believe a word. He was busy playing mahjong with old friends and casually brushed Ye Tianlin off before hanging up.

Su Rulan was so furious she could hardly speak.

Ye Tianlin put away his phone and smiled helplessly. “Never mind. As long as you believe me, that’s enough. At least you won’t misunderstand me anymore.”

Soon, they entered through the grand doors.

Surrounded by a host of attendants, they began their tour of the Celestial Capital Chamber of Commerce. The entire place was magnificently constructed, glittering with gold and jade. Even the most ordinary decorations were priceless!

The more Su Rulan saw, the more moved and astonished she became. Her emotions refused to settle—she felt as though she were dreaming.

Finally, they arrived at the penultimate floor of Celestial Capital Tower.

Looking around, she saw the entire floor was undergoing renovations. The space was vast.

“What is this place?” Su Rulan asked in surprise.

Zhao Shanhe gestured around. “This is the headquarters of Tianlan Group. For the sake of business transitions, we chose this location. My office is just upstairs, so whenever you need anything, I’ll be available at once.”

“This is unbelievable! This floor alone must be several thousand square meters!” Su Rulan’s face paled with shock. She silently berated herself for having tossed the Tianlan Group offer letter into a corner of her room—how foolish she had been not to believe Ye Tianlin from the start.

“Tianlan Group will handle all advertising for the Chamber’s subsidiary companies from now on. Naturally, a large office is necessary. As for recruitment, you needn’t worry—Celestial Capital Chamber of Commerce will handle all personnel matters.” Ye Tianlin’s voice was reassuring.

Su Rulan’s mind buzzed. This was effortless success—she wouldn’t need to worry about a thing. Once Tianlan Group was officially established, she would step straight into the role of chief executive!

Without question, everything that had happened today was the most incredible experience of her life.

“It’s just a pity my parents refused to come today.” Su Rulan bit her lip, frustrated that she couldn’t show her parents all this with their own eyes.

“To be honest, now that things have reached this stage, there’s no need to explain too much. Life will only get better from here. One day, they’ll come to believe it on their own.” Ye Tianlin smiled.

Su Rulan took a deep breath and gazed at her surroundings. Just as Ye Tianlin had said, she felt a newfound confidence rising within her. Brimming with determination, she declared, “Tianlin, since you’ve entrusted me with such an important task, I won’t let you down. I’ll make the most of this opportunity and prove myself, so that even Grandfather and the others will have to acknowledge me!”

Meanwhile, at the Su family villa.

As expected, Ye Tianlin had sent someone to collect the betrothal gifts.

Watching each valuable item being carried out one by one, Old Master Su leaned heavily on his cane. Though outwardly composed, his heart ached terribly.

Standing nearby, Su Yixue was equally displeased, but there was nothing she could do.

Only Su Yicai cheerfully handed over the BMW keys. “Grandfather, sister, I told you it was a test. Don’t be so upset. Once we pass, all of this will come back to us—and there’ll be even greater benefits in the future.”

“You’re out of your mind!” Su Zhengjun returned the Land Rover keys with a glare, then stormed out, unwilling to associate with what he considered a family of lunatics.

Half an hour later, after the gift collectors had departed, Old Master Su led Su Yixue and Su Yicai into the basement.

To their surprise, they found a large portion of the gifts untouched!

Moreover, a set of keys and access cards for the Emerald Bay villa remained as well.

“What’s going on?” Old Master Su was puzzled.

“Why are there so many things left? Weren’t they supposed to take everything? Could these really be gifts from Ye Tianlin to Su Rulan?” Su Yixue couldn’t quite process it and looked to Su Yicai.

Adjusting his collar, Su Yicai explained smugly, “Brother-in-law is deliberately trying to mislead us. He left these behind so we’d think that idiot Ye Tianlin really gave them to Su Rulan. That might fool a three-year-old, but not me!”

Old Master Su nodded in sudden understanding. “So that’s it. Yicai, you really are clever. Your brother-in-law is indeed quite cunning. But what about Su Rulan’s matter—how is that coming along?”

“Don’t worry, I’ve already spread the news—it cost me quite a bit. Su Rulan will be in big trouble soon. This time, nothing will clear her name, no matter what she does!” Su Yicai said with a complacent smile.
