Chapter Ninety-Four: The Rift in Space

Before the astonished gaze of Xuan Xingzi, the lid of the Azure Emperor’s Glazed Cauldron roared as it was forcibly lifted from above, then torn apart by an invisible force. An elderly man stepped out.
This elder was dressed in splendid brocade robes, clearly having just attended a banquet, as faint wine stains adorned his chest. He exuded ease and grace, embodying the ethereal aura of an immortal. It seemed that traversing the myriad heavens and worlds was as effortless to him as a flick of his finger. Yet, this elder bore a stern expression; his eyes held a cold spring of icy water, radiating a chilling aura. However, when he saw Jiang Feng, he surprisingly offered a faint smile.
He was Jiang Yuehai, the head of the Jiang family.
“Old Master Jiang, you could have simply drunk at my Langya Chamber of Commerce. Why trouble me here? I only sought to take that Underworld Map; I have no interest in your grandson’s life,” Xuan Xingzi forced himself to remain calm. Although his hands and feet trembled slightly, his expression hardly changed. After his shock, his demonic energy was suppressed, and he even attempted to exert pressure on Jiang Yuehai. “Moreover, the wine contains my secret poison, capable of dissipating demonic energy. The more you use, the faster it disappears; it will take at least a month to recover. Are you really intent on causing trouble for me?”
Xuan Xingzi’s demonic energy manifested as boundless star clouds, with the sounds of shifting constellations and radiating starlight that could harm even a formidable six-stage True Demonic Realm master. Simultaneously, his Star Radiance Sword flickered, the tip unleashing numerous beams of star sword energy, fiercely entwining Jiang Yuehai, forbidding any evasion.
“Xuan Xingzi, you are but a fragment of stellar primordial energy. Even if you are a true star deity, your power is only at the Demonic King level. I have nothing to fear!” Jiang Yuehai’s lips twitched slightly, revealing immense pressure and confidence. As the demonic energy pressed forward, the void around his body flickered, and countless spatial fissures appeared. Within them, fierce temporal storms shimmered. Xuan Xingzi’s energies passed by him like rolling waves but could not harm his body.
At this moment, the elder, whose beard reached his abdomen, stood like a towering divine statue between heaven and earth—unshakable after countless years of trials, immortal, indestructible through endless tribulations.
“Thousand-Turn Great Luo Heaven!”
Xuan Xingzi’s entire body trembled as the Star Radiance Sword spun continuously. All powers within the Azure Emperor’s Glazed Cauldron pressed down on him. At the same time, the dark-hued supreme demonic weapon spewed millions of star lights, transforming the world into an ocean of stars, a realm of light. “Star power surging, ninefold immense force, infinite and boundless, Thousand-Turn Luo Heaven! Jiang Yuehai, you are merely the head of the Jiang family. I refuse to believe that your strength alone can withstand my full power combined with the Star Radiance Sword!”
“Heh, just try it. Even your tiny pearl radiates light?” Jiang Yuehai’s tall, tiger-like frame suddenly grew more imposing. His brocade robes fluttered but he made no move. The surrounding space shifted automatically like an immense chessboard. Xuan Xingzi’s star light was entirely absorbed into the spatial fissures.
Step by step, Jiang Yuehai advanced, as if nothing could stop his footsteps.
“Star God Descends!”
Sensing the urgency, Xuan Xingzi bit his tongue, spitting fresh blood onto the Star Radiance Sword. Originally about five inches long, the sword instantly expanded to the size of a stone tablet. Boundless star power surged through the heavens, even overflowing the star power Jiang Feng had once absorbed from the Star Soul Flow Light Array, about to burst forth, drawn by the Star Radiance Sword.
This spittle of blood was no ordinary matter; it contained decades of lifespan and cultivated stellar primordial energy. This was a self-sacrificial demonic art, less terrifying than self-exploding pseudo-pills but still tremendously potent. While he might not use it against others, against Jiang Yuehai he had no choice, for only now did he realize just how formidable Jiang Yuehai’s cultivation truly was.
Within the Azure Emperor’s Glazed Cauldron, star power gathered recklessly, forming a stellar black hole. From within emerged a Star God—entirely azure in color, holding a chan meditation staff carved with myriad stars. Its long hair was deep blue and towering. Even before standing, it shattered the cauldron and the training room, piercing through the layers of clouds, opening its vague, bewildered eyes.
This was the true form of the Star God!

The Star God’s form crystallized instantly, pressure multiplying tenfold. Jiang Feng struggled to use his infinite devouring cultivation to stabilize the surging star power inside him. This was not merely undigested star power he had absorbed but the summoning of the Star God itself, who could, with a mere finger’s movement, harness countless stars’ power to evolve various demonic arts—a fearsome, unrivaled might.
“Natural deity? Heh, probably only this demonic art merits such a dull title,” Jiang Feng muttered.
The Star God condensed, its pressure overwhelming. The black hole appeared in the air, yet Jiang Yuehai, like a divine statue, showed no fear. He strolled forward. No matter how fierce the starlight or how dreadful the surging power, none affected him—it was as if he existed in a parallel dimension.
Wherever he walked, the starlight dispersed. In an instant, space around him condensed infinitely. To Jiang Feng, it seemed the entire world shrank before him; time and space were under his control, the heavens and earth reshaped by his will. He was the master of time and space.
Above the sky, a mysterious origin point appeared. Within it, a great gate faintly manifested, as if opening it would lead to another world.
Creak!
The gate opened by itself, trembling slightly. Jiang Feng noticed not only Xuan Xingzi but even the absolute within his sea of consciousness trembled. Endless devouring force collapsed downward, striking the Star God’s head.
The towering Star God was instantly devoured, its azure radiance flowing like water into the gate, shattered and destroyed.
The Star God, formed at the cost of half of Xuan Xingzi’s cultivation and lifespan, was utterly annihilated. How formidable was his grandfather to achieve such an incomprehensible feat?
Jiang Feng was stunned.
Xuan Xingzi hurriedly retreated, attempting to flee but it was too late. Jiang Yuehai pointed, and a vast disc appeared around Xuan Xingzi, its patterns all temporal rifts, tightly encasing him.
Pfft!
Almost all star power was dispersed. Xuan Xingzi spat a mouthful of azure blood, which was immediately torn into the temporal rifts.
“Disperse!” Jiang Yuehai pointed again. The Star Radiance Sword was trapped within the disc, its space-time cutting forces spinning it wildly, battering the star light inside and severely damaging it.
This supreme dark-hued demonic weapon was directly damaged, reduced to scrap iron!
“Star Crystal Stone!” Seeing this, Xuan Xingzi realized that if he did not fight desperately, escape was impossible. In an instant, numerous star crystal stones flew from his body, his demonic energy surging. Star power was summoned again; even in broad daylight, certain stars in the sky were forcibly called forth. Endless star power gathered into beams surrounding him, inflating his demonic energy to the limit.
As the beams dissipated, he spat out a mouthful of turbulent star power that condensed into a sword, transforming into millions of star power talismans, each writhing like dragons and serpents, all charging toward Jiang Yuehai.

At the next moment, Xuan Xingzi decisively used a fleeing technique, forcibly moving himself dozens of yards away using star power.
Jiang Yuehai’s shoulder twitched lightly. He raised his hand; a powerful devouring force struck the void.
Crash!
Xuan Xingzi’s body abruptly halted, unable to move another step forward. He turned in panic, horrified to find that the star power talismans he had spat out were, without exception, absorbed into the temporal rifts by Jiang Yuehai, severing all connection with him.
“Ah!”
Xuan Xingzi screamed miserably, then suffered the same fate as his star power—being fiercely drawn into the temporal rifts.
“Grandfather, your demonic art is truly formidable!” Jiang Feng was utterly shaken as he witnessed Jiang Yuehai’s effortless destruction of Xuan Xingzi. Gathering himself, he hurried to support Jiang Yuehai, beaming with joy.
Jiang Yuehai smiled faintly. No one knew his condition better than himself. He glanced at Jiang Feng.
“Don’t flatter me. The Azure Emperor’s Glazed Cauldron is a fine treasure, but even it was forcibly broken by his Star God! A pity.” Seeing Jiang Feng unharmed, a faint smile appeared at Jiang Yuehai’s lips, but soon his expression darkened like parched dust. “That poisonous wine’s potency is truly not to be underestimated!”
Jiang Feng was startled and recalled that Xuan Xingzi had said the wine Jiang Yuehai drank at the banquet could dissipate demonic energy. Could it be that his grandfather’s earlier show of strength was all an illusion?
Just as he thought, Jiang Yuehai’s body suddenly weakened. Sweat poured from his face as he gasped, “Defeating Xuan Xingzi single-handedly was already extremely difficult. Coupled with the effect of the poisoned wine inside me, I have consumed eighty percent of my cultivation. I need time to recuperate. Since you have already obtained the Underworld Map, hurry to seek it. Our Jiang family has no demonic art treasures, but I will imprint a cultivation law into your marrow. When your cultivation reaches the True Demonic Realm, you will naturally be able to practice it!”
Jiang Feng’s nose tingled, tears threatening to fall. He could not bear it. “Grandfather, I have yet to fulfill my filial duties, and you already want to send me away?”
Seeing Jiang Feng’s sincere expression, Jiang Yuehai’s heart stirred with affection. He forced a smile. “The Langya Chamber of Commerce here is just a branch. Soon, the main chamber will surely send a new president. When that time comes, they will investigate Xuan Xingzi’s death. Both you and I will need to go into hiding. How could that be the same as being cast out of the family?”
“I see.” Jiang Feng pondered deeply. After a moment, he lifted his head with resolve. “I understand, Grandfather!”
